Unfortunately I did attend a public school as a child, and I have used most of my life trying to forget all the lies I was told there.

First of all, i would like to say that i'm not here to attack your beliefs. I respect what you think, i do not agree and i'm not here to convince you otherwise (since i have the idea it's a bit hopeless)

I read through a lot of this thread and I have seen a lot of 'scientific' arguments both pro and contra the earth is flat/spherical theory.

But the issue is not that.
You (landover baptist church) choose not to believe the theories that are presented to you by science, that is your right, but you seem to be impossible to let others believe what they want to believe (the earth being round)
Was Jezus not born for all of us? Is God not a God for all of us?
Did Jezus not proof he was open-minded on other beliefs-theories in several occasions?
Is it not your 'job' to not judge others?

You get scientific proof and say it is untrue, but when someone of you also give 'scientific' prove it is immediatly correct. The original poster gives you 3 experiments to give you a proof and when you are given 5 others that proof the opposite those expiriments are not true-correct. Why is his word mare valuable then those of another man? Because he knows more about the bible? Did the bible not tell us to be like children, thus unknown and open to every idea?

Again, I'm not here to convince you of anything, just to say that being open to other ideas is not a crime and that you can be wrong sometimes.
Look at all people who became Jezus folowers in his days, they believed something else, Jezus did not send them to hell, he tried to convince them otherwise by being openminded and let them speak.

It seems you are forgetting one of the basics christianity: all people are equal and will only be judged upon by God.
I wish you all the best and hope you find the strenght to keep an open eye towards others-other beliefs

The moon gives off its own light. The book of Genesis confirms that the moon is a light: Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Secular science says the moon is reflecting light from the sun. But, this is hogwash. How can the moon reflect light from the sun when the Earth is blocking it? When you go out at night, where is the sun to shine the light on the moon?

Clearly, the moon is illuminated on its own.
