If the earth is a flat then there should be a perimeter over which there was nothing. Where is the end of our flat earth located? You speak of airplanes, have you ever left the stratosphere in an airplane and witnessed first hand the spehrical shape which is the earth? Have you ever studied physics? Next time your on a train that is traveling fast, mark a spot on the floor, stand on it, and jump up. You will come down on the X in almost exactly the same spot depending on your own errors in balance. The train is going over 50 miles per hour, so why dont you end up halfway down the train car? Relativity dude, read some books in addition to the bible and do some real experiments yourself. Thanks for reading.

The moon gives off its own light. The book of Genesis confirms that the moon is a light: Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Secular science says the moon is reflecting light from the sun. But, this is hogwash. How can the moon reflect light from the sun when the Earth is blocking it? When you go out at night, where is the sun to shine the light on the moon?

Clearly, the moon is illuminated on its own.

Oh right, because in your own little christian universe the earth must be the center of the universe. Your logic has so many flaws that are proven SO easily but you people just say : "No that isn't true because of god , you are going to hell".

Just reading through these responses, I can't believe how many people just believe in this "spherical earth theory" out of blind faith. Not a single one of these people have actually been up in space. No, they believe it because they read it out of a science book. Well, I could write that "giraffes can fly" and put it in a science book, would that make it true?

It's so obvious to anyone that all you have to do is go outside and look around and see the earth is flat in it's general shape. And then look up at the sky and see how small the Sun is and watch it revolve around the Earth. This is stuff that you can prove by simple observation.

But all these people would rather believe in this crazy nonsense that they read in a book instead of trusting their own eyes!

First of all a flashlight concentrates the light rays. The sun does not. Obviously if your blocking the rays from spreading out they can't reach everywhere

Secondly I agree I forgot that you guys would think that. However why is it that every day at noon (assuming it's not rainy and snowy like it is now :[ , I'm in canada of course) , you can see the sun. What then do you think happens when you see the sun setting over the horizon, once you can't see the sun anymore, since the earth is flat, no one can see the sun.

Lastly I repeat for the last post, THE SUN DOES NOT ACT AS A FLASHLIGHT , the sun is a light source, unblocked by anything. That diagram you show is like someone is right by the sun, concentrating the light into certain parts of the earth, THAT'S NOT TRUE.

It's not a theory, and it's not blind faith. It's proven to be true. What do you think creates the 4 seasons exactly? One day you should try to drill a hole though the earth, better watch out though you might fall through

The reason why the paper didnt stick to the baloon was because the baloon doesnt have enough mass!, the gravitational fields of such a small object isnt enough to hold the paper!! objects can only be soooo small before they lose the gravitational strength to hold objects to it!!

Compare the moon and the earth, the moon is MUCH smaller than the earth, yet, it still has gravity, compare the earth to other planets that are WAAAYYY bigger. THose bigger planets have a MUCH higher force of gravity!!!

the earth is a sphere!!! i tried that thing when you stand ontop of a really high object (office building) and you can clearly see that the horizon is arcing across due to the shape of the object.

if the earth was indeed flat, then when does the earth end??? how come the amount of land is being filled up by people??? shouldnt we then be able to walk forever and ever???? also, what happens if we fall off the edge of the earth???? where do we go??? also, can we dig deeper and deeper forever and ever since you guys say that the earth is flat, so we wont ever show up on the other side????

you say the earth is flat?? get up, get in a car, and drive south for the next 25 weeks, i bet if you made sure you were straight, you'd end up back where you started!!!

and how you say that people in austrailia would fall offthe earth since you believe THEY are upside down??? you guys say that you wont listen to scientists, yet you join the idea that the northern part of the earth is right side up! the ony reason why the north is the north is because all caucasians came from europe, and when they went "north" they hit the arctic, the only reason why their persecption is the one used is because the austrailians and other southern countries aren't as popular, so their ways of perseption were ignored!!,

so really, if we wanted to, the southern part of the earth could REALLY be the nothern part of the earth, it's all just from perception!

Next,

the reason why you dont move 100s of feet away from where you were standing because of the earth moving is because the earth is moving at a constant speed of rotation!! WE TOO ARE MOVING AT THE SAME SPEED!!!!!!

why is it that when a car is accelerating, you feel the pressure of being pushed back into your seat?? it's cause the car is moving faster than you were.

once the car stops accelerating and stays at the same constant speed, you dont feel the pressure of being pushed back!

i sat on the flat bed of a truck that was moving at 100km/h and i jumped straight up and i landed on the same spot from where i jumped up from!

that proves you wrong, since i landed in the same spot.

i had a speed of 100km/h and the truck had a speed of 100km/h so we were going the same speed.

the same with teh earth, it's moving at 1000s of km/h, SO ARE WE!!!! if i jump, then i land in teh same spot!! since i'm moving at 1000s of km/m TOo!!!

How much more simple does the answer need to be made for you. The sun is smaller than the earth and only lights up part of the earth, as it moves around the earth. You cannot see the sun in other parts of the earth because it is to far away.

Really, are you that ignorant on how the universe works.

If that were the case we would have been dead LONG ago. You realize that the reason that we are alive today is that the sun provides enough heat and energy to keep our planet warm enough to be habitable. If the sun were small WE WOULD ALL BE DEAD.
