It's called using your brain, you should try it some time. If God didn't place that ice then Columbus would have fallen of the face of the Earth. Since we all know that didn't happen, we know for sure that God must have placed that ice in time to save Columbus. Clearly to help Columbus discovering God's chosen nation America.

That is a false argument, because you are infinitely smaller than the earth. If you imagine a circle that is 500km wide, and you stood looking at a single point of it, it would appear flat, as is is so big that you wouldn't be able to see the curve. This is proof the earth is round.

Well, simply put - if the world is flat, why then can't you see the top of all the tallest buildings in the world from each other? Surely if you were on the top of the Burj Khalifa and you looked around, you would be able to see the Taipei 101, and the Sears Tower?

I'm from Australia and I believe that things are all a matter of perspective. After all, even though Australia is "Down Under" the rest of the world, the world is not crushing us. We are quite comfortable here so unless I'm mistaken, this disproves the theory that the Earth is flat. If it were flat and Australia was down under the rest of the world, surely we'd be crushed flat the sheer weight of the top of the world. Also, how do you explain the use of terms such as the Southern and Northern Hemisphere considering the hemisphere refers to half a sphere rather than the calling it the northern half and the bottom half.
