The earth is flat. If you are indeed a Christian you would know this through the Bible. If the earth was spherical, the water would fall off. Just try pouring water onto a ball.

I am indeed a Christian, but I don't believe everything that is written. If the bible said 2+2=53 would you believe it? And a ball doesn't have it's own gravitational pull. Earth does. Does gravity not exist? It has to, it's what keeps us on the ground. Even if the earth was flat gravity would exist.

If I would burn in Hell for not believing it, you bet I would believe it! But the Bible doesn't say anything that stupid. It just says that there are snakes that talk and water turned into wine and stuff like that. That's not that hard to believe. It's worth believing if you get to go to Heaven, isn't it?

I had similar results with the paper. The Bible doesn't mention anything about static electricity, so I think it's safe to assume the devil is trying to confuse you.

We True Christians aren't confused so easily by paper sticking to balloons, yet it is so easy for scientists to be confused by their telescopes and carbon dating. It really shows you how dumb they are.

Now, at the time the bible was written 2010 years ago or whatever, Columbus had not yet circumnavigated, the world had yet to find that the land they stood upon was indeed round. Now, the reason the paper doesn't stick to the balloon is this. Everything exerts gravitational pull. Even your computer, however, the earth is so much stronger that it cancels out the computers gravity and pulls you toward the center of the core of the earth. Now, if the world was flat and there were edges, somebody on here would be able to say that they have seen the edge and there would certainly be more deaths due to falling off the edge.

The jump theory. The world is SOOOOO LARGE that the speed it is spinning at is nothing compared to the size of the entire world. And another thing, lets you see contend this. If you were to go really high up why can't you see ALLL the way to the end of the earth? Because it's round.

In the Bible they used chariots, same cars for the time.

The Romans conquered the world, there is also the story of Babylon. So the world had been "discovered" long before Columbus.

So, if the earth is flat, it implies there is a "end of the world" somewhere, isn't it? I mean, there is some place on our world, surrounding its limits, where an endless abyss can be found and where you can jump from. Could someone please tell me where is that place geographically? I'm starting to be quite interested in this "flat earth fact" you all seem to be so convinced of

You wanted an explanation of how, when going around the world, you end up arriving to the same location you started. The reason is simple, you are traveling in a circle. The curve will be almost straight so it seems like a straight line.

Oh, it makes sense Lisa H. Not only it is flat, but it is disc shaped as well. But I'm affraid you are avoiding my question. If it's disc shaped, then it has to have a perimeter where ground exists no longer - only infinite abbyss remains. And it should be a real place, we should be capable of finding it if we search because we live in this disc-shaped earth, don't we?

So, back to my question, where are those "limits"?
