Could it be that parents of disabled children are given a blessing? Maybe their Heavenly Father knows that they are worthy of the challenge? Maybe those that don't survive are loved enough to have their trial over and be brought home and out of this world of pain and suffering?

1) Jump!

It is not entirely correct. If I jump from a truck going 75 miles per hour, I will disconnect from it at the same speed. So I will fall in the same place, not on the asphalt. You may try to do it on a ship. If you jump, you will not fall into the water.

2) Blow!

You can not do this. If indeed the earth attracts everything, a simple ball is infinitely small to exert any kind of attraction to any object. Everything, even the balloon would be attracted by the enormous mass of the earth under your feet.

3) Get High!

When I go on a mountain top, in a beautiful clear day in which the visible horizon is far away, I think I see a slight curve, far away.
It seems a very small curvature, but perhaps it could be justified by the fact that two points on the earth can be thousands of miles away and you can not see everything the naked eye

The Coriolis effect is a theory in the same sense that electrons are a theory... However if electrons did not exist your computer could not function. Furthermore, there are literally hundreds of physical systems, some of which you use every day, that rely on "theories".

To James Hutchins. If there were no wind then you would land on the same spot on the flat bed as where you began... A perfect example of this would be if you were in a closed area such as a train, bus, etc. Nonetheless your missing the point.
