well people i will now refrain from asking any more questions in this thread as i keep getting infractions for debating and as it says in the infraction letters this is not a debate forum, so i will not do so unless someone accepts my request to do so, for really and again ive said this many times
i try not to insult with my questions i only seek to learn, and asking questions is the only way i know how to do that, except by reading ofcorse, but since you all say that its the wrong books i read i just guessed that asking the knowing would be the way to go (guess i was wrong on that one aswell)
so now i will keep the debating to the people that post in the thread
i posted myself in the introduction section where i hope it will be ok to
debate/ask questions about your faith and belief.

Whew! That was one heck of a run-on sentence there buster! Anyway, questioning Jesus and the Bible is not what being a True Christian(tm) is about. What you ought to be doing with your life on Earth is praising Jesus and carrying out His instructions, not questioning Him and interrogating his True Christian(tm) followers!

Me too. If the Earth were round it would just roll around and squash everybody.

Don't feel silly. Think of how many other people there are out there who don't know the Earth is flat, and consequently, haven't accepted that the Bible is the infallible Word of God(c).

If you insist science already did.
#1. jumping
Easy, even brainiac did this.
You say jump and with a velocity of 700-1000 mph you should a couple hundred yards away. But try jumping in a closed truck. Then you will have no airfriction slowing you down as you would have in an open truck.

#2. balloon.
Come on.
The balloon and the tiny piece of paper are in no way a good comparison with humans and earth. The weight of the world is 5900000000000000000000000 kg and humans are around the 80 kg thats a lot a difference in comparison to the ballon and the tiny piece a paper. Besides the gravitational field of the earth is so big the gravitational field of the balloon is practically 0.

#3. get high
Get to a shore line. Watch boats disappear. Easy as that.

But people don`t get me wrong, I have nothing against god, but really read the entire stories for yourself, and if you would really want an adult conversation with me about science confront me about it. and don`t start the bad argument department I`ll win.

I have always been taught that the bible is not to be taken literally, but what is important is to take the lesson that is in the story. Its not good to hate on scientists, they generally do a lot of good for the world, and a lot of them are christian. They are right about the world being round, how else would it be possible to fly "AROUND" the world. I'm sure the bible wasn't written to make people think the world is flat, but at the times that it was written, the world was belived to be flat. As for gravity is isn't a force that pulls south, it is a force that pulls to the center of the earth so no matter where you are it pulls you to the ground. So don't worry you can get on a plane and fly to China without having to worry about falling off the earth.

1. Take a boat ride. Go north. Where do you end up when you reach the north pole? Is there a large wall blocking your way and turning you around? Or is there just simply a line where the earth ends? No. It most definitely continues, back down the other side of the Earth. Like a sphere. Because the Earth is spherical.

2. YOU CAN SEE THE CURVATURE OF THE EARTH FROM AN AIRPLANE. You disprove your own pathetic "theory" with your blatantly ridiculous "fact".

3. It really must take an uneducated bunch of rednecks to not understand the concept of time zones. OF COURSE it is 4 am on the other side of the earth when it's 4 pm here. Does that mean they know the future? Of course not. That's ridiculous. The sun cant be everywhere at once.

4. On that note, take a plane ride at sunset. You can SEE the line where the sun stops hitting the earth (also known as night). If the Earth was flat, wouldn't the sun hit the earth evenly?
