We know the Earth is flat because the Bible tells us so. But for those of you skeptical, close-minded types that flat out refuse to accept the overwhelming Biblical evidence, I have designed some experiments you can do at home that will show you, before your very eyes, that the world is indeed flat, and not spherical as some crazy scientists proclaim. It's amazing how many people blindly believe in a spherical Earth, without ever having seen it for themselves! I intend to change that.


1) Jump!
Now, scientists claim that Earth is spherical and rotating at a speed of between 700-1000 miles per hour, depending on your latitude. This is a very high rate of speed. You can disprove this nonsense by simply jumping up as high as you can. Really, it's that simple. What happens when you jump? You come straight down to where you were. But, if the Earth were indeed spinning at such a fast speed, wouldn't you land hundreds of feet away?

If you were to stand in the flat bed of a truck going 75 mph, and jump straight up, what would happen? You wouldn't fall straight down. You would fall out of the truck. That's because trucks move, the Earth doesn't. This experiment proves the Earth is fixed in space and doesn't move.


2) Blow!
Since if the Earth is supposedly a sphere, it naturally comes to assume what would happen to people below the equator, like in Australia? Since they are underneath the sphere, wouldn't they fall off? This is where scientists come up with mumbo-jumbo like "gravity" and "centrifugal force" to explain away their theories. So, the scientists want you to think that because the earth is so much more massive than people or things, that people will naturally "stick" to the bottom of the earth because of gravity.

This can be disproved very simply. Get a balloon and inflate it as big as possible. It will be a spherical shape. Now, take a piece of paper and try to rip, tear, or cut the tiniest speck of paper possible. This paper represents a human being, much smaller in mass to the balloon, which represents the Earth. Now try and place the small piece of paper to the underside of the balloon. What happens? It falls off!

That's right. Even though the balloon is so much bigger in mass, it cannot hold the tiny paper. So if the Earth was a sphere, no one could live below the equator because they would fall off.


3) Get High!
Ok, this one you really can't do at home, but you can do it out in the world. Stand on the ground and look around you. What's the farthest you can see? Maybe it's a building, tree, or mountain. Now, find some place very close to it where you can get a much higher vantage point. (This also works if you're on a jet and about to take off.) Notice how in the higher place you can see much farther? You can see more of the world the higher you get. This shows the world is flat because the higher you go, the easier it is to see over obstacles. At the same time, it shows the world cannot be spherical. Because if the world was curved, the far distance would forever remain out of view because of the Earth's curvature. It would eternally be over the horizon.

If the Earth was a sphere, it would not matter how high you went, you would still see the same thing. Since this is not the case, the Earth is flat.


These experiments are all confirmed by creation scientists as being 100% accurate. If you're skeptical of the flat Earth, why don't you do these experiments so you can see truth with your own eyes.

1) Ever heard of inertia?
2)if you give the balloon an atmosphere, put it in a vacuum of space far away from any planet's/star's gravity so it doesn't interferre the experiment and make the piece of paper as small as a person is compared to earth, yes it will stick
3)the earth is really big so you need to get very high (spaceships are a good example)

I do have to agree, mrs. Etheldreda, I don't know why those atheists keep repeating the same arguments over and over again.

I would even say that the fact that there were 8804 replies and we're still convinced that the Earth is flat also evidences that it can't be round.

Otherwise it should have taken way fewer posts to prove that it's round, wouldn't you say?

I had similar results with the paper. The Bible doesn't mention anything about static electricity, so I think it's safe to assume the devil is trying to confuse you.

We True Christians aren't confused so easily by paper sticking to balloons, yet it is so easy for scientists to be confused by their telescopes and carbon dating. It really shows you how dumb they are.

Friend, the Lord, in his Amazing Wisdom and Knowledge of everything told us long before anyone knew that electricity was a result of the collection of water vapor causes static electricity.

If slow secular so-called scientists would have checked The Word(c) they would have known this long ago.

Alright so I joined this simply for the sake of dissecting this disgusting post.
The following... is me explaining for the slow the facts and realities of these alleged "experiments"

1. The Earth does spin at around 900mph and yes.... if you jump up on solid ground. You will NOT find yourself several hundred feet away. This is for the same reason you will not get this result if you jump in a 747. The same reason if a child jumps up and down on a train that she is not smashed against the back door. Constant motion keeps us in our relative positions. If the Earth suddenly started going slower we would all be thrown on our butts to put it simply.

2. Gravity IS the attraction between two bodies of mass. What this experiment fails to point out is that where the balloon has more mass than the tiny speck of paper. The Earth, which has not been removed from this equation is still much MUCH larger. Hence the paper is attracted to the ground.

3. This state is simply false. The higher you go the more you can see.. to a point. At about 60,000 feet, or just beyond the Troposphere the curvature of the earth is fairly well pronounced.

To any of you who still believe the "author" after my comment... please... do not have children.

As to your comments, I'm not very scientifically knowledgeable but I do know that I don't have enough faith to believe in your "science." I am curious as to how you can ignore all the evidence that surrounds you in order to maintain your belief. How does that work? Do you see it and quickly distract yourself? Have you convinced yourself that what you see isn't really evidence? Do you simply stop paying attention?

Science does not require faith on any level - which if you ask me is one of the main differences between religion and science. Religion requires you to have faith otherwise be eternally damned as so many of the forum members have pointed out. Your belief is that nothing good can happen to an individual if they are a nonbeliever and at the same time, everything that goes wrong in that individual's life is because they do not believe. Science will work the same regardless what you believe. If you were to enter a room and flip the switch, the lights would turn on whether you believed in science or not. Even if the lights do not turn on, there is a way to fix it by hand - whether it's changing the bulb, switch, light fixture or electricity. Nothing is left to belief.

I do not expect any minds to be changed here as many of your forum members have such a strong and passionate belief in God nor do I harbor any ill will towards anyone (despite what you may wish upon me as a non believer). However I do question what will happen in the future. God and the bible has answered many questions in the past, ones that never had answers to. As time moved on, man has intellectually and socially evolved - finding answers to those questions without the need for God. As time continues to move on, it will only be a matter of time before an individual can see the Earth from space with their own eyes and be able to tell that the Earth is indeed round. You can already send cameras into high altitudes with easily obtainable kits, but I do not believe you will believe it unless you went up there yourselves to see it.
