God made the Earth flat. There is no mention in the Bible (KJV) about the Earth being round. Science can't make it round just because it suits them. Every time I jump in the air I always land in the same spot, so the Earth can't be round spinning at all.

I don't want to try to spell this out to the other people here, but let me try to explain a few things to you.

First off, needing no proof to believe something is pure sheepist. At least the OP provides "proof" to "support" his arguments.

I'm sure this has been said many, many times before. I'm not flaming anyone here, just expressing what I believe. If you choose speculation over hard facts, cool.

Jumping on the earth and jumping on the flatbed of a truck cannot be compared. When you are on the earth, your velocity is the same as that which the earth spins at your location. When you jump, your velocity does not suddenly become zero, causing you to land miles away from where you jumped. It stays constant, causing you to move with the earth. When you jump on the flatbed of the truck the air around you has a velocity of zero in relation to the truck, and that air will push you back and lower your velocity causing you to fall and die.

If you were INSIDE the truck and jumped, the air inside the truck is also moving at the same speed as you and doesn't push you back while you jump.

Therefore, being able to jump on the earth while not moving hundreds does not disprove the earth being round.

Your explanation is a little forced. That’s exactly what happens when making theories up. A lie leads to another lie which leads to another…

What’s described here would not be possible with a spherically shaped earth, and without a round earth there is no need for theories about spinning and orbiting.

Nothing is forced. If a proof of a concept is too complicated for you, that does not mean it is forced. Do you understand what would happen if the earth was flat? Google, my fellow Atheist, can tell you.

Like I said, it's not that simple. There's no reason to stick to what some person wrote in a book thousands of years ago. We've moved on. We know things they didn't.
