This is not a "science" club. We are not a "debating" society. If you wanted to tell me whether balloons or tinsel were better suited as flame retardants I might note your comment. Doubtful though. But when we have information DIRECTLY from the CREATOR HIMSELF there is no conclusion to draw.

Cranky drew a conclusion based on an inaccurate observation of what you're actually doing when you jump on earth. The conclusion was faulty. Another explanation would be that you're still going at constant velocity along with the earth. There is no acceleration, so you don't feel it.

The threat of hell should have a profound effect on atheists. Romans 1 tells us that everyone (even professing atheists) knows deep down that God exists because he has revealed himself in creation. Not only do you know that God exists, but you know the righteous judgement of God, that you are worthy of death (Rom 1:32). You know that you are not neutral. You hate God (v30).
