I suppose i knew the earth was flat when i saw the pictures of earth from the international space station. Also, using the logic that the earth is flat, would the water fall of the planrt? And wouldnt we fly off into space, as we all know that wr can travel to any country either east or west. Help me understand so i dont burn in hell.

It just strikes me that when someone new on here makes a post, and the community doesn't agree with it, that person is simply damned and the community wash their hands of that person.....that is completely wrong!!

The community should seek to HELP the individual, not oestricise them...or make fun of them.

The community shouldnt threaten individuals with quotes such as 'We'll just set aboot ye!!'.....a well-renound quote from a thoughroughly solid bloke from Scotland called John Smeaton; who with complete disregard to his own saftey, attacked a terrorist at Glasgow Airport seconds after the terrorist rammed a Land Rover full of Propane cannisters and molotov cocktails into the front doors of the place to try and kill as many honest, hard working, God-fearing Christians......especially when the individual was merely pointing out that the heavy police presence was due to the HATRED that Protestants have to endure from Catholics in Scotland.

I am not a True Christian in the eyes of the members of this forum, however, I AM a Christian. There are many different ways to worship Our Lord, my religion suffices me. Thank you for your helpful and nice post James, you are a true gentleman in a world of haters.

Ok, I'm sure that this has been said before, BUT...

1. I actually have jumped before in a moving vehicle. I came right back down where I was standing. It's called the Law of Inertia, also known at Newton's first law of motion.

2. Gravity must exist, otherwise the paper would not fall towards the earth. It would stay right where it was placed, since there is no outside force acting upon it.

3. I have been on a jet heading north, out of Atlanta, GA. During flight, I looked out the left (west) window. We were approximately 35,000 feet above sea level. However I could not see Seattle, Washington (my destination). If the earth is flat, why couldn't I see Seattle?

I hope this helps in some small way.
