Anyways, you seem rather confused as to what Matthew 5:39 really means, so allow me to explain it to you.

"But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also." Matthew 5:39

Now, you will notice that this verse specifically mentions the right cheek. That is because most people are right-handed and if they were to hit somebody on the right cheek it would be with a back-handed slap. When Jesus is telling us to turn the other cheek it doesn't mean to sit there and get slapped, but rather to react in a way that forces your attacker to acknowledge you as an equal (by removing the possibility of them hitting you with an insulting back-hand).

Now, since you brought up the issue of respect, let me ask you a question. Is a man who insists on picking a fight with a little girl worthy of respect? My inclination is a resounding NO, but I guess you liebrals think otherwise.

I don't believe his intent was to argue with a girl specifically, but to argue with the community as a whole. And because the admin happens to be a female means nothing, and if it does, you are terribly sexist (which seems like a trend here, apparently).

I wanted everyone to know that this forum link has been posted on many Facebook walls and statuses, and has been visited by various people, all with the same kind of response: "These people are crazy." A few responses were of real Christians (more real than you lot) ashamed that people like you exist and even take the name as "Christians". Because I'm Atheist, I can just be ashamed of calling you human. What is going on here is disgusting, and comparing you to Hitler, and other fascists, is VERY fair.

By the way, I have read the bible, I have read the Qu'ran, I have read many versions of other biblical texts. They're all fantastic stories. I have studied religion in school (oh sorry.. for those uneducated: "school" is an institution where the public can go to learn about various subjects. Seems a lot of you aren't fond it that place..). Religion was one of my favourite subjects, believe it or not. So you cannot say that I have not been introduced to your books or beliefs. I found Christianity to be one of my least favoured. Your crusaders did make it kind of interesting though, that with all of the murderers and slaughters in the name of your religion.

If you would like to educate yourself further, I will suggest a couple of books:

"God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything" By Christopher Hitchens (Can be purchased at any Indigo or Chapters for $20)
"The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins (Sold over 2 million copies)

I have never seen any 'evidence' of a flat earth, nor have I ever seen anything overwhelming in the bible.

Gravity pulls us toward the center of the earth, meaning no matter how fast we are moving, we're always being pulled toward the middle. Thanks to the atmosphere, there's no resistance from any outside force, meaning the only force acting on you when you jump is gravity dragging you toward the center - this is why standing requires effort - the more mass that is in something, the heavier it is as there is more of it that can be dragged toward the center of the earth.


Yes, you would. The truck is the thing that is moving you forward, so when you remove yourself from it, the forward force is gone, while the resisting forces (air resistance and gravity) are still there. You are still moving at 75mph for a while until the air resistance starts to slow you and gravity pulls you to the ground. However, if you do it on a bus as there is no wind resistance, you'll notice you keep moving with the bus and don't fly backward.



Again, we are dragged to the CENTER of the earth, not the floor, which is why if you where to step off of a cliff, you wouldn't just keep moving at that height, you would be dragged down - we are constantly being pulled toward the core of the earth.


I'm not even going to bother bringing up all the laws of physics you would break by sticking a piece of paper to the underside of a balloon, so here's just one of the reasons that wouldn't happen: a balloon is large in size, not mass.


Er, no. Look out to sea and you will see nothing but a wide expanse of ocean - this proves that the earth is not flat, as we can not see to the next 'obstacle' you believe is there. By your logic, if we stand on the tallest thing in the world, we would see to the ends of the earth.
Moreover, if you see a ship coming toward you from a long, long way away, the first thing you will see is it's mast, then gradually the rest of it, as if it is being lifted from behind a screen.


Your 'scientists' are either lying, have no education or are just idiots that have been picked up off the street and said "yeah" when you asked them if it was true.


I am begging you people to actually reply and not just censor, ban or flame me. Please, be rational and give me a comment, whether it's disproving my points or agreeing with them, just tell me what you think and if you can show me there is a God, by firstly disproving me, then providing evidence of a God which is actually factual or rational, please do.
