    They didn't measure the mass of stars that way. The magnitude of a star does not tell you its size, its distance, or much of anything except how bright it is.

      Interesting. So, while traveling to England, you think he looked at stars with his naked eye from the back of his horse, and said, "Hey, that star over there is more than 1.4 times the mass of the sun, and that's why it exploded"?

        That refers to the formation of their black hole delusion which is claimed to be a star or star remnant so compressed that the RESULTING gravitational field prevents light escaping. Therefore we cannot see it, they say. The density necessary for that to occur could be calculated (pending the next delusion) and is stated. So dense a material would not be infinitely dense however.

        If you describe portion of some star having zero diameter (at its "centre") then that portion will contain zero matter, have zero mass and there will be no associated gravitational field.

        We know that all the crackpotted ideas of particle physics, cosmology and astrophysics are demonic in origin because they contradict The Word Of God. We have FACTS and do not need THEORIES but nevertheless do make notes from time to time as to what current theories actually are. There have been one or two developments recently which should get a few more reverse engineered theories "out there" to "fit" the latest "observations" — perhaps on this site from The Institute of Physics (which seems to have won an award last year)

        Calculations point to massive quark stars it's in nice colours so should be easy to understand.

              Really, you scientologists just happened to find gravity hiding in some dark corner? With all the formulas to go with it? Personally I think things fell well before science even existed. Let's go and see what the Bible has to say about that:
              Genesis 2:5
              [...]for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth[...]

              Genesis 7:4
              For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

              Genesis 19:24
              Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;

              Exodus 9:18
              Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

              It is clear that God chooses when to make things rain down upon earth and when not. Even before man existed God caused things to rain or not to rain, as He wished, as is explained in Genesis 2:5. Without fallen men science can't exist, so evidently things fell before you scientists existed.

              Do you want me to list all the scientists who have been caught lying? Or just the ones who lied on purpose so they could get more grant money from our taxes? Or the ones who lied out of sheer ignorance and were proven liars by others later, like Newton?

              Speaking of Newton the liar, Einstein proved Newton to be a liar about 100 years ago, can you show me any high school physics text book that teaches Einstein's theory of gravity instead of Newton's? No, because you scientists have invested too much in the gravity hoax to stop lying now and because you know that Einstein's theory of general relativity is at least as big a lie as Newton's theory, that's why you are still lying to school children a 100 years later.

                      Legally you should be able to work at a few places at fifteen, like supermarkets and book stores. What does your enjoyment have anything to with it? Work is for money so you can tithe and give the rest of the earnings as Church donations, I know many teenagers your age who have brilliant school results and work many hours of the week, so finding one that doesn't interfere with your studies shouldn't be too difficult.

                              It is quite interesting. How to create the illusion that one is seeing something that's not actually there. For example, driving a car past a billboard. How to get your message across using a moving image seen only by peripheral vision? (Tobacco advertising was the most creative in this respect, especially after the brand could not be displayed.)

                              What we imagine we think may not really be what we think at all. Geologists regard their observations as confirming their hypotheses: what else can they do? Most of them became authorities on the basis of theses written to marginalise Scripture and when they go into the field and find evidence for a recent universal flood they interpret their findings to accord with the geological agenda and reject God out-of-hand.

                              They test reality against their "theory" when what they should do is test the theory. There are parallels in sound. If I generate a certain type of sound, will everyone vomit? or become excessively libidinous? or die? Given appropriate equipment this would be easy to check.

                              Christian archæologists know what they are looking for. They test their "hypothesis" and Scripture is confirmed. Every time. There is no need to interrupt visual processing mechanisms with neatly spaced alternating hues or hypnotise the object of one's desire using synchronised sound data.

                              Christians follow The Bible.

                              I cannot understand why you'd search for rentboy when there are hymns.

                                Work is a punishment from God. 6,000 years ago, when Adam and Eve ate some fruit they shouldn't have, God cursed the ground, and that's where weeds come from. That meant men would have to work hard all their lives to feed themselves and their families. Women were only cursed with some discomfort during labor. But just as God expects women to bear children (1 Tim 2:15), He expects men to work.

                                Gen 3:17-19
                                17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
                                18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
                                19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

                                2 Thess 3:12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

                                2 Thess 3:10b If any would not work, neither should he eat.

                                So work is not meant to be enjoyed -- unless you're a slave, and then you have to enjoy it, serving your master as if you were serving God, with fear and trembling.

                                Eph 6:5-7
                                5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
                                6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
                                7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

                                Work gives no sense of purpose to your life -- unless you're a Chrsitian (1 Cor 15:58), which you're not.

                                Eccl 2:11 Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.

                                It just shows how secularized Western society's thinking has become. So many parents these days encourage their kids to "aim high," to aspire to well-paid, cushy office jobs which they'll find meaningful and enjoyable. But this is not how it's meant to be, especially for non-Christians. Work is about eating and supporting your church and family.
                                sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
