Re: Volcanos and Earthquakes - yet more proof God created the world for Man

Do you have any evidence of the light on the firmament? have you been there? have you seen the firmament with your own eyes? Or are you so gullible that you'll just blindly accept something because someone tells you it's true?

God has gifted us with two eyes. This gives us a three dimensional image that we can use to judge distance. If we look through a forest we can see which trees are closer to us. When we look up at night it is clear to see that we do not get this three dimensional image. That is because the star, sun, moon and planets are all on the firmament so therefore are the same distance away from us,

Genesis 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

Proverbs 4:25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

    Oh the irony.

How is it any different to you? Sure the Bible tells you so, you didn't see the Bible get written, it was years ago, you have belief, faith. You are also believing something that someone told you.

Faith, by it's very definition means that you don't have evidence seen by your own eye, it's your faith that's important to you and I admire that.

What kind of evidence do you want? do you not believe in asteroids either?
The Earth gets hit by lots of tiny asteroids every day, if you don't believe me I could tell you an experiment you could do to find out.

Haven't you seen the documentary where Bruce Willis saved the world by landing on an asteroid bound for Earth and destroys it?

As for the moon, no volcanoes no, but it's been hit by terrible asteroids over the years, is that no God's wrath?

I guess if it happened on Earth then it would be, on the Moon, I guess anything's possible with Jesus huh

Jupiter is a light on the firmament that moves about. How silly are you?

Please don't say something crazy like Jupiter doesn't exist, that's what I'm expecting ;-)

Well, I guess it would be kind of funny if you did say that.

Leaving aside your heresy about millions of years...

Change is not evolution. I don't think you actually understand the word. Evolution means change from one less complex form into a more complex/advanced one.

You really should get your facts right before trying to sound clever and blind us poor hicks with your science.

The earth evolves in it's own way. It isn't the same as it was 1 million years ago. It won't be the same as it is now in another million years.

You would read the Word of God so you can know Him, know His Will for your life, so you too can have everlasting life. For it is written,
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life:
    and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life;
but the wrath of God abideth on him.
    (John 3:36)
I don't believe in the so called word of god, simply because there's no proof that it is, or that he even exists.

There is no sin. There's no right or wrong, there's just shades of grey, and people.

"But Mommy, there are no volcanoes on the moon!"

We all noted how very perceptive he is and my oldest son then asked him why he thinks this is so (he's reaching the age where he knows he should be taking on the responsibility of teaching theology in the home, as a young man should). My youngest scratched his sweet little head and his eyes lit up and he exclaimed,

"There are no people on the moon!"

We had a lovely discussion about how God loves us so much that he would send such signs and wonders to turn us from our wicked ways but that's not necessary on the moon for there are no sinners there!
    Oh, my. Your poor children

He didn't put them there. The evolution of the Earth did.

Obviously there are no people on the moon because they wouldn't fit and they'd fall off but your kids are so cute with the way their brains are making the connections when not corrupted by secular propaganda.

Mary, you are an inspiration to all parents.
