The Bible uses the term saint to describe a living person who abides in Jesus Christ. It has nothing to do with the catholic belief that it is dead people.

Everyone knows that Noah's ark isn't meant to be taken literally. I mean, the bible authors didn't know about kangaroos or sloths or Galapagos marine iguanas.

This doesn't mean God's not a loving and wondrous source of love and wonder and happiness, though.

aaaah, Pastor. Ever the voice of Christian love. I've just got back from a fascinating trip to the Congo. The Christian women there are on an equal footing with the men, for starters.

We had many talks about things like "Did Noah's Ark exist?" and ""Was Christ truly resurrected bodily?" and "Which bits of the bible are clearly wrong so we can stop believing in those because people will just think we're silly?"

They have an ancient culture and just found it ridiculous that God would kill everyone and that a world flood was even possible. I found myself agreeing with them more than I disagreed. They have opened my eyes to what God really is.

Since my return many of my parishioners have come to understand God in the same way. He is a force of nature...

Open your heart and it's easy to see which bits of the bible are just wrong. Jesus was, after all, a great man and His words must have been twisted, wherever they seem vile or hateful. The God I love and the Jesus I pray to is kind and open to negotiation over what is right for this day and age. I hope that helps.

Oh yeah, you sad bean flicker. How exactly do you decide which bits God really meant for sure?

Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

You're going to Hell for what you did, but I suppose this is one of the bits God didn't mean, according to you. You people make me sick just making up your own version of God inside your heads then claiming it's the same God other people are worshipping. You all do it - but oddly enough this God of yours just tells you stuff that agrees with how you think. Ever wondered about that? How God constantly changes His mind based on what you choose to believe in this week...

The Bible is as true now as it ever was, and the Bible tells me so!
