I have even heard people say that we are the aliens and native earthlings are octopusses and squids - but then they say that our bodies are from earth and that our nervous system is the alien. I would have thought it more consistent to have things the other way around (since octopusses already have nervous systems) but I suppose that joined-up thinking is not a strong suit in the i-channel-aliens-on-my-ouija-board-please-bring-cash community.
