Now before I quote the next piece of scripture where God actually states it is acceptable to suffer for the greater good, we should define what a servant is.

Not only is it acceptable to beat your wife, it is a righteous lesson. Even if your wife has done well, it's good to remind her of Christ's suffering for us, by making her suffer as well. This has nothing to do with being kind. This is simple resource management. If you leave the adults then after a while they will lay more eggs and then you can raid the nest again. Taking the adults as well is short term thinking.
