            What would you do if you find out that one of your children has cancer?
            a ) pray so that God heals him/her!
            b ) take him/her to the hospital to receive medical treatment!
            c ) none of the above

              should one of my children be stricken with cancer, the very first, and only, thing I would do is encourage them to repent.

                The Holy Bible says that God healed the blind and dumb, cured leporacy, and even brought dead people back to life. I'd think even you would be smart enough to know that God can cure something as simple as cancer.

                  In order to avoid punishments being inflicted, either upon oneself or one's grandchildren or great-great-great-grandchildren it is necessary to follow God's Just Law. So often I hear that The Law ended with Jesus, but that is not what He said and altogether they are hoist with their own petard. Just consider The Ten Commandments. Jesus referred to them. Is it now OK to murder? (of course not) To bear false witness? To steal? (of course it isn't and they know that and it is The Law which tells them so)

                  If The Law were no longer current, sacrifice would no longer be necessary and what would be the point of appealing to The Blood Of Jesus as that sacrifice?



                  Here is what God instructs us about His Law:
                  DEUTERONOMY 28
                  14-15                   And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

                  16-19 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
                  Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

                  21-22 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.                   27-28 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:

                  35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.
                  45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
                  53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:
                  55a So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat:

                  God continues:
                  58-61 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
                  Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

                  You will see then that the diseases and plagues you mentioned are covered by God's promise here. He does not say He might do these things. He says that He will do these things. That is why, for man, deliverance is impossible.
                  But for God, ALL things are possible.

                    This is ridiculous! Autism isn't being gay! You're born with it! It's often caused by meningitis which is an infection of the brain. An infection is getting sick! Since when can someone help getting sick?

                          Where do you get the idea that God will accept anyone? Even John 3:16, which so many people think means everyone is going to Heaven, is very specific that only believers will be saved.

                          Don't believe me? Here is what it says:

                          (John 3:16) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

                          This is explained in more detail just a couple of verses later:

                          (John 3:18) "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

                          Try reading the Bible instead of guessing what God said.

                              Turning one's back on your nebulous friend who (probably) thinks he may (or may not) exist would be like rejecting (or accepting) the option of 250 micrograms extra in your early morning kool aid. Nothing would happen. Or nothing that wouldn't have happened anyway. If it was your last drink ever perhaps you'd die from dehydration a nonosecond sooner but I doubt it.

                              Our God is the true God. He is described in The Bible. Rejecting Him has real consequences. Death and everlasting torture in hell. Forever. We know He does not accept everyone because if He did He would not have WARNED us about HELL.
