Falsifiability means that something CAN be falsified (a clearer word is "testability"). To be accepted as true, a statement MUST possibly be false; the absence of any evidence of its falseness can then be taken as evidence of its verity (trueness).
On the other hand, if a statement CANNOT be shown to be false (by any imaginable evidence), then all we would know is that it cannot be false; its verity is not (and cannot be) proven.
