Nobody here is against industrial uses for hemp, which you'd see if you bothered to read the 25+ pages.

So why are you potheads who want to smoke dope always harping on the value of hemp as a fiber product? It's fine by us. Why, I have ropes made of hemp. So?

I already posted it in the proper thread. If you wish to discuss why it's flawed, how about we do it in the proper thread? You know, the one that that is about the actual experiment conducted, and not the one that has nothing to do with it?

We actually really don't care because we're all about getting saved rather than desperately trying to find loopholes in order to get wasted and indulge in anal sex.

Re: Marijuana is God's Gift to Christianity!

I was born and raised in a Christian family. But I have also partaken in the herb (or as some of you may call the devils lettuce) and I personally have not seen any downside of it. Ever since I was 13, I have used it as a tool in my Bible studies, I find it extremely helpful in opening up my mind when I hit a few confusing parts. Not saying it's what completely helps me get through a mental block during my studies, but it does help out a lot.

I will be the first to admit, there are a few 'bad apples' in the [uprising] cannabis use community. Trying to force their beliefs and opinions on others who simply do not think it is right. Just as there are 'bad apples' in the Christian Community who also try to force their beliefs onto others who do not wish to partake.

I have read most of the replies to this thread, and completely understand where most of you are coming from about the smoking aspect of cannabis, as well as the consumption of it. But how do you guys feel about the manufacturing aspect of it? There are literally thousands of possibilities that it can not only help boost the economy, but also help save this beautiful planet that God has provided us.

There is the fiber-rope, fiberboard, and cloth that can be fit for potato sacks, canvas sails, work shirts (that will last forever), or made sheer and silk-like for the finest blouses. Cotton is an expensive crop to grow. It needs loads of water, and tons of pesticides and fertilizers, hemp doesn't; it's cheaper and less polluting to grow than cotton. Hemp fiber is longer than cotton and lasts longer. Wood pulp paper industry, same way. Those old Family Bibles were printed on hemp paper because it lasts.

And one of the biggest pollution concerns, of course comes from the vehicles that we drive to work and Church. Hemp can even be used as a biodesiel and ethanol.

“In the most favorable growing conditions, we obtained yields of up to 15,000 kg of stem dry matter per hectare (6,070 kg per acre). Under s...

Cannabis sativa Linn, known as industrial hemp, was utilized for biodiesel production in this study. Oil from hemp seed was converted to biodiesel through base-catalyzed transesterification. The conversion is greater than 99.5% while the product yield is 97%. Several ASTM tests for biodiesel quality …

(PhysOrg.com) -- Industrial hemp, which grows in infertile soils, is attractive as a potential source of sustainable diesel fuel.

And the medicinal purposes. Someone mentioned that they won't even use Vicodin if their doctor prescribed it to them. I'm sure lot's of people are just like that and honestly I don't blame them one bit. But what if cannabis can be used for medicinal purposes in a form other than just smoking it? Yes, a lot of these mention the smoking of cannabis, but you can also use cannabis in a pill form. More or less like a natural remedy.

My apologies for the lengthy post. I know that some of you will find this complete rubbish. But I guess my intentions were to bring some peace to this debate, and help show that even if you are completely against the consumption of hemp/cannabis for medicinal or recreational use, there is some room for this God given plant in our daily lives and should not be completely ignored because of it's bad past.

God bless all of you, and have a terrific day!

I don't preach, I clarify misunderstandings about Holey Scripture.

Hypocrites (and ignorance*) piss me off. If you talk the talk, you'd better walk the walk. If you claim to be a Christian, yet show that you have no idea what that entails (usually due to being lied to about the contents of the Bible your whole life, by family, friends, even clergy), I will call you on it.

*Now before you jump all over the word "ignorance", please learn what the word actually means. It means "not knowing", not stupid. Stupid just makes me sad.

He does it because he thinks it mocks God to turn His words against Him.

Of course all this does is show that we are right and you (both) are wrong. God will not be mocked.
