Close your left eye and stare at the cross mark in the diagram with your right eye. Off to the right you should be able to see the spot. Don't LOOK at it; just notice that it is there off to the right (if its not, move farther away from the computer screen; you should be able to see the dot if you're a couple of feet away). Now slowly move toward the computer screen. Keep looking at the cross mark while you move. At a particular distance (probably a foot or so), the spot will disappear (it will reappear again if you move even closer). The spot disappears because it falls on the optic nerve head, the hole in the photoreceptor sheet.

I wonder why you ignored this experiment? Maybe because you're scared of the truth?

I tried your test, heathen. It didn't work. I saw the dot as clear as the dot on a Hindu woman smelling of body odor from not bathing.

Maybe it is only people that God hates who have a blind spot. Maybe He wants you to try it out in traffic.

Re: The human eye does NOT have a blind spot!

The blind spot is created by a lack of faith. It has nothing to do with science and the fact that the optic nerve winds up in the back of the brain to dance with the majesty of the cerebellum which might be true, or a test of intelligence for those without a vision of the future that is always delivered by Jesus as a reward for accepting that he rose from the dead. The Lord Jesus works in mysterious ways, always, and it is important to discern between the quick and the dead.

This website loves the verses of prophecy, as is warranted by natural language, and I will now attempt to find my Bible, but I am certain that I placed it on a shelf on the other side of the room, of which Our Lord's father has many, and I will go fetch it now.

It is my habit, so to speak, to seek out scripture comprised of single syllables, but I may refrain this evening because I sense something important bubbling up to the surface of the pool of True Baptism, unlike that mentioned in the movie about seventy-six trombones.

Brothers and lesser bearers of children, I offer these words: Isaiah 46:9

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

      My word is my light.

Re: The human eye does NOT have a blind spot!

The blind spots in the human eyes are located approx. 12-15 degrees to the left/right and 1.5 degrees below the horizontal relative to the direction the pupils are facing and are approx. 7.5 degrees high and 5.5 degrees wide.

This blind spot exists because there are no light-detecting cells where the optic nerve passes through the optic disc. If I were to design an eye I would place the neural wiring behind the photoreceptor cells to avoid this problem.

The test in the original post won't demonstrate the blind spot in human eyes. because the circles in the original post will never fall in the blind spot of the human eye.

Look here swami, it is one thing to come to a Christian forum and try to argue and debate about your stupid theories, but it is quite another to actually try to tell Christians that you are a better designer of people than God.

Come on; what do you think, that we are a bunch of rubes or what?

No one here will take you seriously with that kind of crazy talk.

Re: The human eye does NOT have a blind spot!

God designed the eye perfectly for a reason.

Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. KJV

Notice in particular the subjunctive mood. There isn't one. Unlike our syrupy hell-bound pervert God actually can, and does, design eyeballs. He also makes them. Perfectly. Let's have a look at the Psalms.

Psalm 18:28-32 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God? It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. KJV

Were some heathen to design vision, perhaps placing photoreceptors all over the body or enabling perception of xrays that he see the panoply of hell and demons everywhere, where should be the role for grace?

Oh, let me guess, this so-called "information" is brought to you by the same self-declared scientific geniuses that brought us

                    * Spontaneous generation - is a principle regarding the origin of life from inanimate matter, which held that this process was a commonplace and everyday occurrence, as distinguished from univocal generation, or reproduction from parent(s).
                    * Transmutation of species, Lamarckism, inheritance of acquired characteristics - first theories of evolution.
                    * Maternal impression – the theory that the mother's thoughts created birth defects.
                    * Miasma theory of disease – the theory that diseases are caused by "bad air. “
                    * Recapitulation theory – the theory that "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny".
                    * Telegony – the theory that an offspring can inherit characteristics from a previous mate of its mother's as well as its actual parents
                    * Out of Asia theory of human origin

Excuse us while we wait a moment for this blind spot theory to change as well.

This is certainly not true for any True Christtan™ pastors:
Leviticus 21:18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
Leviticus 21:19 Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,
                      Leviticus 21:20 Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;
Leviticus 21:21 No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.

If there is something wrong with your eyes, it means you have somehow offended Jesus. Are you reconciled with Jesus? Have you taken all your sins to Him? Drop to your knees and find out.

I suppose you're one of those who also believes the vertebrate retina is back-to-front. But why would an intelligent designer create an organ with such flaws? The Bible tells us everyone can look at creation and see evidence of a Creator in the design of His handiwork.

                        Rom 1:18-20
                        18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

For example, humans need air and water to survive, and God placed us in an environment rich in air and water. Life needs sunshine to sustain it, so God created a sun that kills thousands of people with cancer every year. Through sin, death entered the world (Rom 5:12). For life to continue, organisms have to be able to reproduce, so God created animals and humans with reproductive organs even before sin and death entered the world, telling them to be fruitful and multiply (Gen 1:22, 28). God created men to produce millions of sperm a day in the hope that they would have maybe ten or twenty children each at most, many of which would die in infancy. God created man with a foreskin so that for a period of 2,000 years in history His chosen people would be able to chop it off as a sign that they were special. The superhuman intelligence behind creation is evident in the efficiency and order we see all around us. God will improve and streamline His designs when He creates a new heaven and a new earth (Rev 21:1). In the meantime, we have ample evidence that less-than-optimal life was intelligently designed. So why would an omnipotent, omniscient God create the human eye with a blind spot and the cephalopod eye without one when humans are His special creation, made in His image (Gen 1:27)?

Dear friend, are you claiming that a book is capable of controlling a mind?

Do you have any peer reviewed references to support this? If so, are these references controlling YOUR mind?

You're confused. True Christians™ may be a small percentage, but nobody knows just how small. It is true, Jesus tells us most people who think they are followers will be shunned from Christ Himself, pushed off the cliffs into the fiery pit of Hell, as it were. We cannot know how many, and it's foolish and counterproductive to speculate.

However, the population itself is of very little consequence. You see, our influence is enormous, and constantly growing.

True Christians™ inspire public policy, locally as well as nationally. Consider the following graph, and the information it illustrates:

The biggest spender among the groups was the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which spent just under $88 million through its D.C.-based Office of Government and International Affairs in 2008, the most recent year for which data was available. The organization, which calls itself "'America's pro-Israel lobby," also goes by AIPAC.

The second biggest spender was the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, which spent under $27 million in 2009 on “policy activity expenses." The national body of Catholic leaders has been active in coming out against same-sex marriage and for laws that restrict abortion rights. The number also includes spending on national media and communications efforts. The bishops' conference, which in total spent $143 million in 2009, also does significant work on poverty reduction and disaster relief.

The Family Research Council came in third, with just over $14 million spent in 2009. The Christian group focuses on three main issues: promoting traditional marriage and heterosexuality, advocating against abortion and embryonic stem-cell research; and the promotion of religion in public life, such as school prayer and religious displays on public land.

The group with the most dramatic increase in spending? The National Organization for Marriage. Founded in 2007 to promote traditional marriage, the group moved to Washington in 2009 to up its efforts as same-sex marriage and civil unions became legalized in more states. Its budget that year was $8.6 million, up about $3.3 million from the previous year. (more info here)

This graph reflects an approximate $390 million spent per year to inspire public policy. That is up from less than 40 such groups in 1970. You may think that's quite a bit of money, but in reality, it's not enough. You see, compared with their numbers in the U.S. population, Muslims and Jews make up a bigger chunk of advocates. There are 17 Muslim advocacy groups and 25 Jewish advocacy groups, while the faith groups represent less than 1 percent and 1.7 percent of the American public, respectively, according to Pew. About 8 percent of groups identify as mainline Protestant, compared with being 18 percent of the population. We have to fight, and fight hard, to keep religious freedom in our country (more info here).

Because True Christians™ are blessed by God, we are awarded certain opportunities that can only be explained by Divine Providence. For example, the tax exemption of the Christian Church in the United States (estimated at more than $82.5 billion a year). This allows us to use our monetary funds for important things like sharing the dangers of vaccines, and taking care of our devoted pastors who work ever so hard.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Re: The human eye does NOT have a blind spot!

                                For Infinity:
Blind Spot it's an evil misinterpretation.
Both eyes are coordinate and complementing each other in the same time. Eyeballs have mechanical slight movement in the orbit backward and forward.
Reflex act: movement caused by a reflex response, any automatic, unthinking, often habitual behaviour.
Completely cover your left eye using your hand and start the 'Blind Spot test'. Slowly move closer the paper with plus and dot continuing to stare. You'll notice a strong movement of the covered eye trying to open. In this particular point it start the compensating switch from the opened eye to closed eye which is a movement part of the reflex act. That's why the 'disappearance' of the item. But if someone keeps doing the movement backward and forward and force his opened eye, then cease the compensating of the reflex act and suddenly there is not any 'Blind Spot'.

People with one eye have no impact to Blind Spot test!!!
Because they lost the second eye after a period of time the brain don't use anymore coordinate and complementing process of sight and obviously there is not anymore a reflex act.
They will not have the same peripheral vision as they did before, because of their nose interference. This means that they will have somewhat of a 'blind spot' on the side of their lost eye. It will take a couple of days to get used to this blind spot, and they will need to learn to turn their head more frequently from side-to-side instead of merely relying on sideward glances from their remaining eye.

In the chess games tournaments the players accused some mysterious disappearance of a chess piece near the area of their focusing direction. Happy scientists start to 'take in consideration' the phenomenon and gladly put on table 'The Blind Spot theory'. But the bad news in chess is getting worse: near the area of their focusing direction for a short time, randomly disappearance of a decisive chess piece from a group of chess pieces!!!
It's just simply human bad thinking behaviour pattern (sinners) mirroring on chess tables.
