Seems to me if you aren't in Church, if you don't believe in the LORD, then your 'celebration' of Easter is really just bold faced mockery. You don't get to jump on the bandwagon just because you like the holiday, same goes for Christmas.

The Bible quite clearly says it is the celebration of passover and our Lord's temporary death. Jesus said Himself that His flesh is meat indeed and His blood is drink indeed. The Passover, of course, being where the angel of death descended on Egypt and killed somewhere around half a million men after God hardened Pharaoh's heart.

I guess depending on which Gospel you follow, Jesus either died before or after the Passover.

We merely celebrate the Eucharist every Sunday by drinking His blood and eating His flesh. Now we will celebrate when He was nailed to a cross and died. Then He rose from the grave. Apparently, some other people did too according to Matthew 27:52-53.

Friend, you are preaching to the choir. No one takes our Savior's temporary death on the cross, Jesus' sweating drops of blood and the eating of His flesh; that is meat indeed, more seriously than we do. Indeed we drink deeply in the Blood of Jesus on our hallowed day of Easter.

Seems to me if you aren't in Church, if you don't believe in the LORD, then your 'celebration' of Easter is really just bold faced mockery. You don't get to jump on the bandwagon just because you like the holiday, same goes for Christmas.

Do as Christ taught, anyway. It's a real sign of the times that even the rememberance and celebration Lord's Resurrection is an opportunity for heresy and sin to weasel in.

Honestly, I don't think the Apostles would have done it, you don't see them eating chocolate crosses after the Resurrection. Better to err on the side of caution, I suppose, or submit to the wisdom of those who've made a more thorough study of these things. What's chocolate got to do with salvation anyway?
