The things you just listed are life choices. Those are things these people have CHOSEN to do. God does not control what people do. When I said that, I meant he loves you no matter what race, sexuality, gender, religion or music taste.

So you agree that God only loves those who behave based upon particular life choices.

Sexual activity (you decide to have sex or not, don't you?) and religion and music-listening are all choices, but you list them all as things that aren't choices.

This does not make any sense. I think you believe that the god you've made up in your head loves everyone equally, if they make the life choices of which you approve.

The bible is a book, that could have been written by anybody, and I don't believe it could have been written on true events, because it was so long ago, how would you know?

Simple, really. Allow me to lay out a logical argument for you.

We start with a couple of basic assumptions; God is all-powerful and all-knowing. With me so far?

Now, since God is all-knowing, He knows exactly what the Bible says.

Since God is all-powerful, He could easily change every single Bible in the world to say whatever He wanted in the blink of an eye.

The Bible says what it says.

Therefore, the laws set forth must be what God wants us to follow.

Do you see how that flows logically? Why would God leave us to guess which laws were still good and which ones we could ignore?

Now, you may still want to believe the Bible is not God's Word. For that to be the case, one of these conditions logically must exist:

• God is either not all-knowing or not all-powerful, and thus not much of a God;
• God is messing with us to confuse us so He can send us to Hell for not obeying Him correctly, which means He is evil;
• God doesn't care about humans' lives, so for practical purposes may as well not exist; or
• God does not exist.

Which of these do you think is the case?

The afterlife I believe in because I think they are there basically, I believe there is something waiting for you when you die. I'm not sure what it is, but I do believe something awaits you.

Why? Why would you believe that, with no evidence if you ignore the Bible?

I believe in God, because I was brought up believing in God, so of course I believe in Him.

That's no reason to believe in Him. Muslims are brought up believing in Allah, and that it's right to "honor rape" women. Is being brought up to believe something a good reason to believe it? Does it make it true?

I don't believe he set down rules, or orders though, because God loves everyone equally; why would he have made you different if he didn't want you there? Exactly.
