Eh, I'm not really miserable. I'm an atheist for a lack of a better way to properly explain my religious standing in one word; I don't hold a particular spiritual belief in this phase of my life, but I do not seek to destroy religion utterly. I believe that evolution is fact, but I accept that there are people that take it as fiction. My aim by registering on this forum is purely to test these waters and learn about other faiths.

Original poster is pretty much right, though; what I have to say, most of the time, is not important, and I don't pretend that it is.

Athiests seem to make a big deal out of why they don't believe in God, they go around bitching and moaning about practically everything ... like anything they have to say is actually important?? Seriously, why don't they quit their whining, and realise their lives could be so much more - if they just 'got with Jesus'.

Yes, Athiests are pretty pathetic. They're all such lonely angry hateful and bitter people, so I doubt they have many friends. But I wonder why they choose to be so miserable? When Jesus Christ offers them the chance to be Saved. The chance to be washed in his blood, and feel happy and whole and alive again! Glory! Glory to God! Only someone exceedingly stupid would you choose to reject that!

But no, these hateful grouches choose to wallow in their misery, instead coming up with far out reasons as to why 'they think' God doesn't exist! They write books about it, spread their hate across the interweb - because they're jealous of us! They're jealous of us Christians because we're happier than they'll ever be! Because we have God's promise of eternal salvation, and because we know we're going to Heaven! Halellujah!

Why do these grouchy grouches reject Christ? They see that all Christians are happy people, always smiling and full of God's love. But instead of wanting to be part of the blissful joy that is being Christian, they choose to attack us?? I don't understand it. Possibly they have some sort of mental problem, or retardation of some sort? Does anyone know?

We were created in God's image before the fall. We are restored to God's image only by the Grace of God and the Blood of Jesus. You do not possess these, so you are fallen and totally depraved.

Never once did I say anything about hate, but once again that's been branded on me for not believing as you do. But perhaps since you are so selfless and understanding you might be able to understand that one man's heaven is indeed another man's hell. As a world where one cannot be themselves is a sad one indeed.

Who said you have any right to "Be yourself". Human nature is evil - you should try to be as far from what your human nature is telling you are possible!

Genesis 6:5: "The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

Ecclesiastes 9:3: "This is an evil in all that is done under the sun, that the same event happens to all. Also, the hearts of the children of man are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live, and after that they go to the dead."

Jeremiah 17:9: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?"

Jeremiah 13:23: (NIV): "Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil."

Isaiah 64:8 "But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand." (We should allow God to mold us as He desires)

Mark 7:21-23: "For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person."

Romans 3:10-11: "None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God."

Romans 8:7-8: "For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God."

1 Corinthians 2:14: "The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned."

Ephesians 2:1-3: "And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience - among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind." (our depravity being emphasised in the concept of being "dead"; only something external -i.e. God- can give a dead man life)

God is telling us to do these things friend. You perfectly well know God speaks to us in our hearts of hearts just you want to pretend you don't here His voice.
