RESULTS: Religiously unaffiliated subjects had significantly more lifetime suicide attempts and more first-degree relatives who committed suicide than subjects who endorsed a religious affiliation. Unaffiliated subjects were younger, less often married, less often had children, and had less contact with family members. Furthermore, subjects with no religious affiliation perceived fewer reasons for living, particularly fewer moral objections to suicide. In terms of clinical characteristics, religiously unaffiliated subjects had more lifetime impulsivity, aggression, and past substance use disorder. No differences in the level of subjective and objective depression, hopelessness, or stressful life events were found.

How about some simple common sense as well...

What have they got to live for ? They know nothing of te joy, the rapturous engagement with God and his word. Each day they live is the same empty crawl from rising to sleeping. Each day filled with moments of epmty nothingness.
Would that make you happy ?


What have they got to look forward to?... More days and weeks of the same emptiness. Over and over , like some eternal loop of damnation in a living hell on earth.

What have they got to die for ? Nothing, in their eyes there is nothing to come. Just a full stop. A dark cut-off of being, zero existence. In their view life just terminates, so all their living amounts to is a steady addvance to a dead end.
At best they must spend their life in fear of the inevitable, terrified by the prospect of the vast empty void they think they know is there.
All the time they are alive they no nothing of the real majesty of doing good works, they can never experience the selfless amazement of doing God's will and serving his name and cause.

What is the truth they wil know ? Judgement. Pure and simple, swift and total. One day they will stand to be judged , and they will be found wantiing , derelict and damned. Then they face an eternity of hellfire and torment for their atheistic heresies and sinful, God-denying ways...

What else could they be but miserable and afeared...
Maybe all the misery and sameness , and empty squallor of their souls , well that's just an installment, a small down payement on the torment they're going to face on The Day...

Look at where all the wars and , famines, and genocides happen...They aren't happening where God's word dwells in men'shearts.
No , they happen where evil holds sway , God is denied ,and false Gods are raised high...

Atheists are miserable, because that's all there is for them, and it's all they deserve.

Now you ask "What have they got to look forward to?" well i can tell you what i look forward to everyday. when i wake up i look forward to what i will experience that day. wiether its going out and enjoying nature or meeting up with some buddies to smoke the natural herb, i always feel eerie. i dont feel an emptiness like you say. i know that mother nature is our true creator. now i dont believe in a god but i feel that all humans no matter what race are my brothers. even you people. but you all feel like you have to belittle other people based on there personal beliefs. thats sad.

I'd say i envy faith in god, it gives whoever is faithful a reason to live, and something to look up.

Many atheists have accepted Jesus as their Savior because true happiness doesn't come from reading about Dawkins or Darwin, but of reading the Good News that Christ is risen and died for your sins!

Remember E=Mc2? Energy and mass are the same thing, just in different forms. The sun is constantly fusing hydrogren into helium, and the helium it forms is of slightly less mass than the hydrogen to started with because a tiny amount of the initial mass was converted to energy. This is the same principle that applies to nuclear fission that forms the bases of our nuclear reactors and nuclear weapons.

At the instant of the Big Bang, all matter and energy were concentrated in a single point that began expanding outwards and cooling.

So where did rocks come from? A rock like a granite rock is composed of various compounds made up of elements like silicon, oxygen, aluminum, calcium, sodium, potassium, etc. Those elements are in turn formed by stellar nuclearsynthesis. Remember hydrogen fusing to form helium? This accounts for the vast majority of the content in all the stars in the Universe and thus the majority of all the matter in the Universe. As a star begins to run out of hydrogen, it will begin to fuse helium under immense pressure, to form heavier elements such all the way up to iron (remember that an element is determined by the number of protons in the atom's nucleus, so these immense pressures keep fusing lighter nuclei with fewer protons together to form heavier elements with more protons in their nuclei). After iron, no more heavier elements can be formed unless the star explodes in a supernova. The incredible forces in a supernova are sufficient to fuse the elements that had already formed in the star to fuse into all the other naturally occuring elements in the Universe. These elements are flung far across space as a result of the incredible explosion coming from the supernova. Some of that material ended up in the planetary nebula that ended forming our solar system several billion years ago which is how those elements ended up as part of the earth. The energy left over from the earth's initial formation is what's responsible for the molten core at the center of the earth (which is mostly made of nickel, if I recall correctly) and that is responsible for the volcanic activity we see on the earth. It's the energy and movement of matter from volcanism that caused all the elements that go into granite to mix together to create the rock New Hampshire prides itself on.
