From the sound of it, I assume none of you have actually visited the site and read about the religion. The Church of Satan, or LaVeyan Satanism, is a strictly atheist philosophy. The main idea of it is that, because they do not believe in an afterlife, they spend their one life on this planet living well, making a happy and comfortable life for themselves. They use Satan as a representation of their defiant and questioning nature and lifestyle. In fact, the first 'sin' in LaVeyan Satanism is ignorance - ignoring facts that are rsoight in front of them. They do not worship Satan as a deity, nor do they believe in his existance. There is another branch of Satanism, Luciferianism, that does believe in him, but not as the evil being the bible makes him out to be. It's actually very interesting to research these religions, and I suggest that you open-minded people out there do. ^__^

In case you didn't know, I am not part of the Church of Satan - I simply researched it because it is very interesting to learn about others beliefs.
I never stated that I tried to "change the fact of my eternal damnation" - I simply wanted to help those who feared that the site would have offensive material ^w^

So close, my friend, but not quite. Luciferians worship Lucifer, not Satan, as their primary deity, although they may recognize Satan as part of their pantheon. Theistic Satanism worships Satan as the primary deity.

Not that it really matter, mind you, as everyone who is not a follower of the Lord of Light will see the error of their ways once the snows of Winter come.
