Oh i know exactly what they are. Military family for longer then ive been told. back in the states i have a old Springfield and a m-1. all original parts. Im a collector of sorts. I was working on finding that carrier assembly to an m-14 when i shipped out. Beautiful weapon. Radios though are not my field. Im a sharpshooter so i leave that to the bravo team guys.

And yet you don't know how to post in American. Do they accept kids who haven't mastered basic American spelling, grammar and punctuation?

I do apologize for the spelling but its kinda hard to be correct on every detail while your running around in full battle rattle with a m-4 in one hand and a laptop in the other.

I accept that. Been there and done that. But I had an M-14 and a PRC-25. Ask an old-timer if they know what those are. :-)

Once again i am posting between patrol duties and chow line. this topic is of interest to me.

Firstly i want to say i'm agnostic, meaning im not sure what i believe just yet. It happens when you've seen as much in the world as i. So please do not judge me by that. When god has need of me im here, waiting as always.

Im a history major and i find the study of religion very interesting. I find it interesting that the Christian faith has picked up several pagan traditions.(pagan means farmer in latin just incase anyone didnt know that.) For example., on christmas you bring a nice pine tree into your home and decorate it. this was done by druids in medevil times as a way to celebrate the shortest day of the year. Several of the saints feasts fall on numerous other "holidays" celebrating anythign from a full moon to the rise in the tide of a lake.

It was done this way to attract people to the religion. Christianity spread through cities much faster then in the country, which is why people call pagans pagans, farmers where the slowest to convert.

Now im not saying whose right and whose wrong because thats not my place. But could someone tell me , that if Jesus where to walk through the world today would he dam everyone who didn't agree with him ? no, i dont think he would. in his time he taught love and respect. He healed sinners and he made saints. i have not heard of him damming someone for disagreeing with him.

Obviously, as a Christian who respects God's Word, I hate witches and want them to burn. But that's been sufficiently argued in this thread already.

The thing is, as a scientist, I hate witchcraft for another reason: its incredible irrationality.

I mean, who, in this day and age, can honestly believe that a little ritual and a profound desire to change things can make magic happen? Goodness is effected through an incredible amount of hard work. If you want somebody to love you, you can't expect results through reciting an incantation to some ridiculously anthropomorphized spirit of birth and nature-- you have to work at it! If you want your enemies to suffer unimaginable tortures, you can't just finger your occult symbols. You have to pick up a rock!

And c'mon, really-- even if we took as axiomatic that Christianity is incorrect-- what of it? So what if some ridiculous feminine amalgamate of all of the myths of Europe held a moral principle that you shall harm none? Why should you do what she says anyhow?

No thank you. I don't need that kind of superstitious nonsense. We, as a species, know enough to put that animistic heresy behind us. I choose to accept Jesus, His divinity proved through His miracles, and will obey and pray to Him, and ask Him to help me to deal with the constant horrors of this perfect world until He bodily lifts me to join Him in Heaven.
