    I find this interesting......

I find it more interesting... the adverts a visitor sees are based upon the web pages he has visited and the interests he is shown to have by, what I believe is known as, "the Google Cache."

For instance, I see advert for collectors' copies of KJV 1611 and sites denouncing the sale of doves.

Now, would you like to tell us about your life with Satan?

Awww. You caught me. I'm Satan Incarnate. No no no. I'm kidding. I'm a Religion major at USC. Unfortunately some of the linked meta tags factor into the ads from time to time.

You clicked on some of the ads, right?

That's odd. I'm not seeing any advertisements. Is there something wrong with my computer?

Of course I did. My assignment was to understand (or at least understand the reason for such an allegation to exist) the connection between Pre-Christian Pagan religions (Rome and whatnot) and Present-day Christianity.
There is a great deal of suspicious connections between the two, but this is only under-graduate religion, not a full scale academic research project.

At least you haven't asked us to do your homework for you, yet.

I'm afraid to ask what you are specializing in at that liberal institution. I hope they're not doping you up with the Kama-sutra and trying to convert you to Hinduism.

              I'd recommend this course:
REL 473: Advanced Old Testament Studies (4 units)

Bruce Zuckerman is a fine instructor and you will be at least studying the Holy Bible, and not some rag-book like the Bhagavad-gita.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

The assignment stresses the necessity of a 100% unbiased view, with points made to either side. No offense, but I strongly doubt this site fits that criteria.

Just pick up a Bible. The connection between Christianity and the "pre-Christian" religions has always been a bloody one with the Christians coming out on top. Write a paper about that!

That old stroy! I hope you have replied that the question is a trick one!
If you accept The Trinity (which I hope you do!)
                    1. God was always here.
                    2. God and Christ are the same person.
                    3. God created the Earth, therefore the earth has always been Christian, therefore
                    4. Pagan religions cannot pre-date Christianity.
                    5. Pagan religons sprang up all over the place as satan walked the earth.
                    6. For the most part God, in His Wisdom and Mercy, slaughtered the heathens, man, woman and child alike (e.g. many OT battles and The Flood) and
                    7. Christ (Luke 19:27) advises the same actions.

Case closed. Go and tell your professor you've finished and now need something to challenge you!

Unfortunately the Bible is one of the most biased literature out there. My point coming to this site in the first place was to understand the fringe elements of Christian society. You have to admit while your beliefs are understandable, you represent a minority. I thought that understanding the edge would help me better understand the middle ground.

I know we're in the minority. I just don't understand what's wrong with people these days. Can't they see that the only way to a decent, moral society is through the Bible?

With all due respect sir, as an intellectual I am obligated to understand the truth. Calling it the truth does not make it true. A challenge would be to understand the Rosi-Crucian relations with the alleged Knights of the True Order (Templars)

If you're not a True Christian, what is your reason for studying religion in college?

Son, with the Word of God there is NO MIDDLE GROUND!

We here at Landover accept the inerrant truth of every word of KJV 1611. This is the timeless word of The Lord with nothing added and nothing taken away. Anything less is not Christian; it is fluffy bunny liberals inventing their own gods from their tofu-knitted consciences by picking and choosing what parts of God's Word they think would most suit the left-wing media that are the cause of the World's troubles and the degeneracy we now witness!

One Nation Under God! The word you are seeking is "Theocracy."
