I am so confused. I consider myself a good Christian and yet my best friend is a goth. She is a good Christian too, she goes to Church, prays to God daily and studies the bible, but she dresses like a goth. I want to tell her that she cannot be a good Christian AND a goth at the same time but she looks happy the way she is. She is like my sister and I really want to know, if she is happy, can it really be so wrong? Aside from her clothes she is a good, God-fearing, Christian girl who respects her parents and respects God.

goths is an abbreviation for Gothic. The original goths were one of the barbarian tribes that colonized Europe. They built their temples with tall towers pointing to the sky. Many modern day churches are built in a decidedly gothic fashion. some of your ancestors were Gothic.

Gothic today, is a kind of fashion style which means you prefer dark clothing.

Theres a big gap between a 15 year old christian who plays call of duty, and a reserved goth. Goths tend to be somewhat shy, and stay with other people similar to them. As far as i know no goth has every caused a school shooting.
