ok, so this debate is getting mature, Ok i respect your opinion, But what i am trying to say is that every religion was a "cult" before they were fully embraced as a religion, and some have never gotten past cult, such as scientology, and other cults

as for the topic of that proverb, I doubt it, the story is...well about a man from a small southern city who becomes a Biot-terriost, and his life story is told as a "oral history" by his friends and family.

i mean its not like i hate religion, i am open to the idea of it, and it does help many people in some cases, in fact i just bought my girl friend a neckless with a cross on it, I do believe in jesus, but i am losing faith, and i don't really mind, But if there is a god, then i guess i will have the punishment i deserve.

OK, O aptly named one, let’s have a few ground rules;

• Jesus, God The Father and The Holy Spirit are all One and the same – The Holy Trinity Indivisible (note that last word - Indivisible.)
• Every Word of the Bible (KJV 1611 only) is absolutely true – it is the timeless and inerrant Word of God.
• Jesus is not all brotherly love and forgiveness, Jesus came to bring division between His Followers and the godless. He advocates that His enemies should be slain.
• You are His enemy if you do not accept every word of the Bible, because, if you think the Bible is wrong, then you are disagreeing with God and are His enemy.
• You are either a True Christian™ or not even Christian.
• Only True Christians™ go to Heaven – everyone else, and without exception, goes to Hell.
• At the Rapture, 2/3rds of mankind will be thrown into Hell.
• We can thus expect the Rapture when the population of Earth is 1/3rd True Christian. (We don’t know when that will be.)
• Now you will see that if any idea, policy or explanation contradicts the Word of God, then that idea, policy or explanation is “of the Devil.”
• To ensure the swift coming of The Rapture, it is necessary to have a government, which is able and willing to Rule the people by The Word of God – a theocracy if you will.

Once we take this on board, you will see that “believing in Jesus” and buying a woman a cross are simply not enough to ensure entrance to The Kingdom of Heaven and to sit at God’s Right Hand.

Now, there is nothing above to which to object but many find it difficult to rid themselves of preconceived notions. I personally therefore find it best to reduce any would-be True-Christian™ to the state of a non-believer so as to have bedrock upon which to built The One True Faith.

God embraced Judaism and Christianity as religions from day one. Interestingly, Judaism became a cult when the Jews started worshipping rabbis and money rather than the Lord.

I'd suggest that you buy yourself a gift--the Holy Bible, King James 1611 version, and read it. Then you can make an informed choice for eternal happiness with Jesus Christ or eternal damnation with Satan.
