With this skin complexion, black is a blessing sent by Those On High. Bright colors never have done it for me. The black goes with my hair and my eyes.

Many goths have come here telling you the truth on goth. Why don't you listen to them. They are the ones involved in their subculture, they are the ones who should know what people in the subculture do and do not do.

But they aren't true. I am in the subculture, I know what goes on. Sure, you have a few freaks and posures who can never understand what it truly means to be goth, but these aren't the ones you can trust.

Then you have your shockers, such as Marilyn Manson, who are not goth but take the label just because that's what they are given.

Goths are normally quiet, enjoy the arts, normally are very creative and intelligent, even if some do not like to show it. The average goth will keep to himself and not exactly bother anyone else. There is no baby killing/eating, no Satanism involved for the most part (again, as we are all indeviduals, there are a few who are ritualistic Satanists. Those are few and far between).

There is music involved, and sometimes it is loud and angry, but you will also find the occasional person who loves classical music and even some who enjoy techno dance music.

Techno dance music, like Goth music, is a tool of the Devil.
