Re: Belgium: another imaginary country (half German/half French)

ok, this fight isn't going anywhere.
    Look....

Europe is a verry difficult thingy. From 1500 BC to 1918 BC the borders of evry country changed al the time.

The land that is now Belgium was first property of spain, together with the Netherlands.
Than there was a fight about religion. Spain is Catholic, The nederlands are protestants. So: flanders (then known as south Holland) became a part of The netherlands.
Then there was an other fight because of religion and Flanders became a part of austria.
Then austria tried to put the state above religion and Flanders didn't like that, so when France attacted austria we worked together with France.
BUT: Frensh people were against religion above state, so a few years later the started the Frensh revolution (there were also a lot of other reasons for that).
Flanders was again unhappy end we were back with The netherlands (they invaded us)
So then there was a problem about money because whe had more money than the Netherlands.
the UK, France, The Netherlands and Germany came together to decide what to do with us.
The diceted to make Balgium (Named after Belgica in the Roman period).
They added a piece of France to Flanders and that piece is Called 'Wallonië" (maybe Wallonia in English)
So in the north you have tha part that speaks Dutch
In the south they speak French
And we have a capital called brussels and they decided that in brussels the languages should be dutch and Frensh.
SO: World War One: whe won that and they gave us a little piece of Germany, called the "oostkantons"

But now in 2009, there are a lot of problems in Belgium. Flanders had more money then Wallonie and wallonie asks money al the time and they think it is normal we give them money al the time. They want more power in our state and Brussel-halle-vilvoorde is a thingie that can be the end of belgium.
The Netherlands want to get together with Flanders again. France want Wallonie back and there are people in Flanders that want a country "flanders".

I fight (yes, realy fight" against the idea of "flanders as a country". I want to keep Belgium and i thonk whe scould find a way to make it work

btw: (and now you will realy hate me) I fight for that in the Communist Party

Maybe we are a realy bad country that wasn't ment to be, but we are a country.
And not in the bibble: where is America in the bibble :s
    never found it...

Listen friend, as I said before we Christians don't go for made up nonsense that bunch of long haired hippy types came up with while living in caves. It's going to take a lot more than some stuff written in some old book to convince us.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

Well, you don't exist, and you get mad because we don't believe in you. You'd actually want to kill for it.

What do you think Jesus feels when you think he is "imaginary"?

Think about it for a minute.

Friend, you state the case exactly. YOU call yourself a country, but you are really part of Spain or the Netherworld or Austria or France or Germany or Bolognia or Polska Kielbasa. GET AN IDENTITY AND STICK WITH IT! The human mind isn't capable of grasping that it lives in a place that doesn't really exist. SO EVERYONE IN YOUR IMAGINARY COUNTRY WILL BECOME CONFLICTED AND GO BARKING MAD!

Don't you see what you are doing by insisting that you actually live somewhere?

Friend, Brother Nobar is old, and doesn't have the best of health, but why assume he has an atlas? That's below the belt isn't it?

                          OK, let's recap:

                          So far we have:

                          . Belgium
                          . Balgium
                          . Beglium

Can we settle on one name before we continue?
