Don't summarise and leave out parts if you don't know whether or not they're essential, which you can't possibly know sinds it's God's way.
Or in other words: the people that don't honour that command will be damned, and thus killed in a spiritual sense. Their life will be empty without guidance from the Lord.
I had the entire passage in another thread.
Anyways, are you saying that we should interpret the Bible any way we see fit? Or should we take it literally?if we interpret it in any way we see fit, then any scripture can be modified enough to still sound original, but had a totally different meaning. If you modify it, then you are also modifying Gods words. Taking the Bible literally would make more sense than figuratively. If we take it figuratively then it is only a story, as much as Alice in Wonderland. Literally, the Bible is exact and can not be modified, and thusly can be followed to a tee.
So which are you going to do? Modify it to fit your needs and beliefs, or keep it intact and believe and wholeheartedly follow the commands and stories laid out?

It's my third language here, and you'll excuse me for knowing a lingua franca like English better than French. Ce que ne veut pas dire que je ne te comprends pas, et ma grammaire française est beaucoup plus correcte que ta grammaire anglaise.
(Which doesn't mean I can't understand you, and my French grammar is a lot more correct than your English grammar.)

Ok, the sentence that I have written up there contain one error, my ''i'' isn't capitalized. For the sentence that you have written in french, the four errors are: next to ''je'' you need ''te'', ''déja'' doesn't takes an ''à'', it isn't ''d'un'', but ''d'une'' if you want that your sentence makes sense, and finaly, ''gens'' doesn't works properly there, you need to write ''personnes''.
