If people can worship in the way that feels most natural to them, they're more likely to do it often and sincerely. Does the Bible endorse any other kind of reverence?

"They way that feels most natural to them" is not a phrase I recall reading in God's Holy Word. If we went by liberal guidelines like that, then no one would be a Christian!

God's plan for Salvation is spelled out clearly. The choice of whether to accept His plan or not is yours. Choose wisely.

Are you a masseuse? I myself have endured years of stress: having to spend 15 years of my life in a federal prison, worrying about the IRS, marital issues, fretting over the decline of America, my ulcers, my hemmorhoids, etc. I could really use a skilled young woman, well-trained in the art of massage to put me in a relaxed state. Lord Jesus knows how I desperately need it.

I'm afraid I'm not, Reverend; I'm not exactly beefy, or muscular, or a big girl with lumberjack shoulders -- not at all. Honestly, men make the best massage therapists. Strong, experienced hands, lots of kneading and pressure in all the right spots. It certainly sounds like you have a lot of stress to melt away. If I hear of a good Iowa massage therapist, I'll send you the referral straight away.

Oh, well I prefer the gentle touch of a woman's soft hands all across my bare body. Receiving a massage from another man would be tantamount to homosexuality. Consider it gay sex without any insertion. There is no way I am going to damn myself to hell per Lev. 17:22 over just trying to relieve some stress.

When you look over a congregation of non-Republicans, Unitarians, for example, it's hard to think of them as insidious. The most trouble they cause in an average year is creating a traffic jam when the community center is having a tag sale.

I think you are under the impression that Heaven is for nice people and Hell is for mean people. This all ties together with cults (denominations) preaching their own brand of "truth". This is where we get the "hippie" Jesus and the "buddy" Jesus. That somehow the bulk of humanity will get the benefit of the doubt, including those well intentioned Agnostics, and those watered-down denominations who have lost their way and the real truth of the Word.

Here are the facts. Hell will be populated with nice people. With good people. With kind and caring people. Sweet little grandmothers and jolly dutch uncles. There are millions of them in Hell right now, roasting away. Why? Because God says: Many are called, but few are chosen (Matthew 22:14).

What's the common thread of all of those nice people who are wailing and gnashing their teeth? Three things:
1) the wages of their sins is death (Romans 6:23- For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.),
2) their good works are totally worthless (Isaiah 64:6- But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.), and
3) they haven't been reborn through Jesus Christ (John 3:3- Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.)

Isabella, let me be blunt. You seem like a nice girl, very charming, intelligent, and articulate. And that makes you a very dangerous person. Instead of using a stick to beat up True Christians™, you leave a trail of honey to the edge of a cliff. There are people here new and weak in their faith, and those close to gaining their faith. The honey looks good, and it leads to an easy road. The catch is that it isn't the biblical road, it is the road straight to Hell. Your "reasonable" approach is a sham, a false hope. You remind me of Matthew 7:

15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

I've seen a lot of "worldly wisdom" coming from you, but very little Godly council, especially scripture. That's the fruit that we are judging here.

If this thing seems mean, or cruel, or unreasonable, you can't just dismiss me as the bearer of bad news. It is between you and God. I don't make the rules -- I just present the Word as God commands me. Your intentions may be good, but good intentions are worthless without fact to back it up. And in this case, they are actually worse worthless.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
You either open the door or not -- there is no cracking it open for a quick peek. And if you keep it closed, then don't bother opening it if the knocking stops. Because there won't be anyone there if you do.
