The fact of the matter is that we don't twist scripture. When the Bible speaks of the wolf in sheeps' clothing, it's an analogy, not something we interpret. Please refrain from siding with those who blatantly insult your host, it's a quick way to earn eternity in hellfire.

For sure -- those two are twisting scripture and pulling it out of context like it is a taffy pull contest. That's why you have to check things like that with a True Christian (tm). Some of the people here really bad off mentally, and they think that they are getting "special and exclusive" messages fron God. They are kind of funny at first, but then they get old fast. If you see something strange, then ask a True Christian (tm) for clarification. That's what we are here for

Hey Wally, have you checked out the "Spacehip Jesus" website? I think that's going to be the place that you'll fit in best. Besides werewolves and siamese twins, they have Ghost Shark and Bigfoot and replicants and shapeshifters. It is run by Mad Prophet Helmholtz, and based on your intro thread you guys are 2 peas in a pod (maybe even an alien pod ).

Chip is over there as well, and like you, he has a "unique and special" way of reading and understanding the Bible. Maybe you guys can work on a 12-21-12 interpretation from hidden scripture

I fail to see your point, Mr. Goldman. If you read the text, literally, and without twisting it, you can see the Bible is very specific about those things. After all, how could a false prophet be a wolf? Wolves can't speak, let alone prophesize. Jesus is talking about werewolves. Now, I know many people scoff at the existence of werewolves but I believe they exist because the Bible tells me.

Or are you one of those jaded atheists who laugh at the existence of unicorns because the Bible speaks of those as well? No, Mr. Goldman, if anyone is a troll it's you. You constantly twist Scripture around and add your own assumptions and personal ideas of what you think it means. I also think your Christian beliefs are questionable because you are happy to take Genesis literally and at face value, but the second Jesus mentions werewolves you want to ignore it.

The big problem with Wally's intepretation is that Jesus is clearly speaking in metaphor. Unlike Genesis, which is an explanation of how the world was created (literal and objective), Jesus is speaking in these verses (metaphorical and subjective). So we, as True Christians(tm) can take the Bible literally, but it doesn't mean we have to disregard metaphors.

Look at what Jesus is saying, Wally. Beware of false prophets in sheep's clothes. He's saying for us to beware of those false prophets and others who will lead us astray by appearing to us as innocent and harmless, but inside they want to hurt us.

Everybody speaks in metaphors in one way or another. That's not Scripture twisting by any stretch. That's recognizing what Jesus was really saying. Do you honestly believe your werewolf hypothesis makes more sense than that?
