This is very interesting information. Too bad it's so late here in Romania because if I could I would spend the whole night having a conversation with you about these deities.
What time is it there now?
They seem to believe that Hitler was a satanist and would've been their savior and would bring mankind to the next level after "homo sappiens".
They also claim that they are the oldest religion in history and that Judaism and Christianity have ideas stolen from other religions. (http://www.exposingchristianity.com/ in case anybody wonders about their "proof". In my opinion, what they are saying is pretty debatable.)
Yup, they're pretty weird. Any religion that claims to be 'the oldest' without any solid proof of being even more than 50 years old is probably going to be just that - not more than about 50 years old. Take wicca for example. The religion did NOT exist before the 1950's yet you will still get wiccans claiming their beliefs (NOT the roots of these beliefs) are 3000+ years old.
However the part about xtianity and judaism stealing ideas is actually true. Not so much for judaism as xtianity though. In fact a lot of xtianity is stolen from the jewish beliefs, who they claim are still wrong even though their savior was allegedly a jew. Go figure huh?
Hmm... I was always in the impression that Lucifer was a fallen angel of God. And that he would later name himself as Satan or Beelzebub and become the ruler of Hell. In the Satanists' beliefs however, they claim that Hell is just another dimension or planet in which demons live... This is so interesting... My head is going to literally explode trying to make all the connections between these things.
Those who see Lucifer as a Pagan god merely see that name as another name for a Sun god like the ancients had, and those types of pagans do not believe in heaven or hell. Other dimensions yes but no heaven or hell. What they believe for an afterlife will differ from person to person.
So in what exactly do Pagans believe in? In the other ancient gods such as Odin and Thor? Or still Satan but in a different way? From what I understand Satanists claim to be almost the same as Christians but allow you a lot of freedom such as being gay and the forbid making blood or living sacrifices. They also claim that they are about life loving and that Christianity is about death loving.
You got it right the first time, Pagan is a very general term that describes several beliefsets. Odin and Thor are Norse Pagan deities. Zeus and Ares are Hellenic (ancient Greek) pagan gods. Etc etc. There are many different types of Paganism. In India, the main religion there (Hindu) is a type of paganism.
Pagans do not believe in any part of the bible or the christian god or devil.
I have never heard of such people. Do you happen to know if they have a site of their own? I would love to see their share of the story.
They sure do. Marilyn Manson is apparently a high priest there, LOL.
I am trying very hard, believe me. I am simply thrilled with all the knowledge I have accumulated lately around here. Thank you for helping a fellow atheist in his quest for knowledge.
Always happy to help a fellow seeker of knowledge.

Those people, from my understanding, are actually neo-nazis. Scary, but more in the sense that one is sharing one's oxygen with more dumbasses every day, this group being an example.

They aren't connected, really. Well, depending. Some call themselves satanists who believe in Satan as one of many Pagan deities, but in those cases Satan becomes simply a name and with no connection to the christian beliefset as is my understanding. Such people would also see Lucifer as another pagan (separate from Satan) deity.

Now those who call themselves Satanists and believe in the Satan of the bible - no connection to Pagans. They are more reverse christians, still believing in the bible but taking the side of 'the other guy'.

Then there are LaVeyan Satanists - no connection to Pagans but rather they are Atheists who worship the darkside of their own humanity.

Understand?

I have recently read some stuff from this site: http://www.joyofsatan.org/ and I believe that I have basic knowledge about Satanism. I understand from there that there are many "branches" of Satanism. I have also learned from there about the "Nazarene" extremist Satanist cult.

May I ask what is the exact difference between Paganism and Wicca and how exactly do they connect to Satanism? I am very curious. Do enlighten me please.

Those are the facts.
Now, the way they will answer is that christians see any other gods as merely being Satan and his various demons in disguise and trying to trick you, therefore by default they believe that to not worship their god is to worship their devil.

At what point exactly in your transition from Pagan to christian did you lose your vital cerebral functions?
To the O.P. - I have a question. Are you one of those people who confuses Paganism with Wicca? Because if you are I may be tempted to smack the silly out of you.

Now now BJ as you well know, no healthy Pagan would consume that much cholesterol in one sitting. However no one can monitor what those do who are NOT on a sensible diet.
Wrong again. Pagans do not worship Satan. Satanists worship Satan. BIG difference. HUGE!
And if you figured that I sacrifice animals, than you have seriously misunderstood the term VE-GE-TA-RI-AN. The reason I am vegetarian is because I believe we are all equal and one of my main principles is DO NO HARM. I believe that eating animals and wearing their fur and hide is wrong because I consider them my FRIENDS. I'm sure you're familiar with the term. I would never harm another being, and yes, animals ARE, in fact, beings.
So you're a fag vegetarian eh? Just as bad....
Believe we are all equals huh? Sounds Commie....
Friends with animals? Is this bestiality or because you're too much of a freak to have any real human friends?
Never harm another being? You're harming everyone here with your Godless Satani-- oh I mean "Wicca" bull crap

Shows how much you know. For being a pagan, you sure don't know a lot about paganism.
I have a question for the pagan. What do you get out of worshipping Satan? When you light candles and draw pentagrams and sacrifice animals, you are essentially selling your soul to him. Why do you do that? Don't you know you will go to Hell for that?
And one more thing. I believe that Satanists don't really mind the fact that they're going to Hell. I think that's the general idea, actually. But then again, as a Wiccan, I do not believe in the concept of Hell, so I wouldn't really know.
