Re: I'm A Goth: Is That Bad?
If you could just syntax and grammar in a half-coherent way, you might stand a better chance of explaining yourself.

Re: I'm A Goth: Is That Bad?
Ah, yes Trixie. You love her, as we are all supposed to love everyone.
But, she admits that she has and uses powers that do not come from the Christian God, but from pagan "gods". Do you, as a Southern Baptist, approve of her lifestyle?

Alky, you will always be loved by me, with or without you powers. Just wanted to say that!Originally posted by Alky: Child of Baccus View PostWhen you start moving things without touching them, making people say things they wouldn't say normaly, having premonitions that come true, having spasmodic attacks when danger is near, and healing without trying when your amethyst necklace is on your hand, come and talk to me about faith. I don't believe that my powers are from the christian god but rather from the Goddess and God of the polytheistic sects.
Faith in god was hard to come by when supposed christians picked on me relentlessly.

If you were that gifted and strong by Christ then you wouldn't be an outcast from His church. It sounds more like you are weak in what counts; faith in Him. More like your' fragile teenage ego can't stand that Jesus gets all the attention.

In the way you worded your statement, it is technically possible that you are. Watch what you say or you may lose followers.Originally posted by Brother Temperance View PostPenny-pinching is a lifestyle choice just like sodomy. Like the kind Brother said. No where in the Bible does it say that cursing is a Sin.
HOWEVER, it does mention that being a FAT DRUNK is a sin!!!!!!
Proverbs 23:20-21 warns us, "Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags." Proverbs 28:7 declares, "He who keeps the law is a discerning son, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father." Proverbs 23:2 proclaims, "put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony."

And no, I didn't say that God was overweight, but he made all of mankind in his image. That is what I said.
