It wasn't clear in SD's post whether it was her, but that woman looks like a vampire.

The Vampire you have in mind is rather a invention of Bram Stoker, he mixed old Romanian folk stories with elements of his daily life (like the cloths). So the claim she is looking like a vampire is far from correct as the vampires in the folk stories are something quite different.

Metal is a part of goth, but not all goth is metal. I could swear this discussion has been had already.

I must say this is not correct, sure Goth and Metal are sometimes interlink but rarely you see a Goth crowd on a Metal party and vice versa. Both genres have a different background and attract a different crowd.

I must say this is not correct, sure Goth and Metal are sometimes interlink but rarely you see a Goth crowd on a Metal party and vice versa. Both genres have a different background and attract a different crowd.

This has already been discussed several times, but I'm still unsure how to tell a gothic from a heavy metal punk rocker. Both groups have greasy unkempt hair and unwashed clothing. Both groups make animal sacrifices to please satan. Both groups are chronically unemployed and hooked on the drugs. Both groups listen to "music" that makes me want to stick my knitting needles in my ears. Please forgive me for saying this, but I really don't understand how you could tell if a metal fan showed up at one of your gothic raving parties.

Boy oh boy, is that the reason why you grasp back to those idiotic stereotypes?? I can't blame anyone not knowing the difference but always you people seem to go back to that stereotyping. That's sad, really sad. You don't even try to understand what it's all about, you don't try to understand why people dress themselves differently or listen to Goth music. Because If you did you would easily see that Goth people are just like anybody else, they too have feelings and hopes and fears, just like everybody. They just dress differently because they find the cloths appealing and listen to the music because they like to hear it, this has nothing to do with the many unrealistic stereotypes you people seem to believe.

I thought about you folks quite a bit and I can understand your fears. Sure, Goths look strange, they dress in materials not very common in the present fashion but this is just a way of dressing, do you bash on teenage girls who dress themselves like little whores when they go to school?? nope, you don't, it's always about the Goths. The same applies with music, always you folks seem to think that the Goth music is about satanism and other evil things, well it's not all that. I agree that some bands indeed use satanic lyrics (I'm not talking about MM as he isn't a Goth to begin with) but that's really a minority in the scene. BTW, in recent years the Gothscene has been changing rapidly towards Cyber-electro where there is less and less lyrics involved and more electronics. In some sub-gernes like Noise and heavy Industrial there aren't even lyrics, they are purely made on computers. And Metal doesn't even belong to Goth as those came from different grounds.
