Good news, brothers and sisters: “Atheism is in decline worldwide, with the number of atheists falling from 4.5% of the world’s population in 1970 to 2.0% in 2010 and projected to drop to 1.8% by 2020.”
I believe the reason for this is that atheism is a house divided. We Christians are bound together in perfect unity by love. That makes us strong and it makes Christianity attractive to outsiders.
Phil 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (See also 1 Pet 3:8; 1 Cor 1:10; 12:12; Col 3:14; 2 Cor 13:11; Phil 1:27; Eph 4:1-6, 13; Acts 4:32; Rom 12:4-6; 15:5; Jn 17:11)
Because unity is the mark of a True Church™, atheists are all too keen to point to the merest hint of schism within the church – even if it’s not a True Church™, which it couldn’t be if it’s divided. Atheist infighting, however, doesn’t get nearly the attention it deserves. The unwashed masses need to be educated.
Examples of Disunity
1. In December of 2012, Blair Scott resigned her position as Director of Outreach for American Atheists owing to “in-fighting: at every level.” I can’t think of one example where a pastor has resigned over bickering within his flock.
2. You may have heard of Elevatorgate. The scandal began when atheist Rebecca Watson made this comment in her YouTube vlog. Richard Dawkins thought Watson was overreacting and mocked her in this satirical letter.
This sparked mayhem in the atheist blogosphere. Both Watson and Dawkins were criticized. The atheist community was divided. Watson claims, “Hundreds of atheists have informed me that either they wanted to rape me, someone should rape me so that I will loosen up or that no one would ever rape me because I am so ugly."
That Watson was hit on in an elevator shows that atheists are always on the prowl for casual sex. That Watson rebuffed the man’s friendly offer to join him for coffee in his hotel room shows that atheists are cold and distant. That Dawkins mocked Watson shows that atheists are insensitive. That atheists have threatened to rape Watson shows that atheists are mean. No wonder the atheist community is divided. Atheists can’t get along with each other. They’re just not very nice people. I can’t think of a comparable scandal in God’s church. Christian women are respected (Gal 3:28) as long they stick to their gender roles (Gen 2:18; 3:16; 1 Cor 11:3; 14:34-35; 1 Tim 2:11-15; Eph 5:22-24; Col 3:18; Tit 2:3-5; 1 Pet 3:1-6).
3. Bloggers Thunderf00t and Greg Laden were banned from contributing to freethoughblogs.com because “their behavior towards other members of the community has made it impossible to keep them as part of our network. This is not a matter of a disagreement or difference of opinion, but of behavior that we cannot condone or support.” True Christians™ are perfect. We never behave inappropriately.
4. Atheist church the Sunday Assembly split over a disagreement on venue, speakers and use of the word atheism. In the case of a True Church™, it’s not a split if a congregation becomes independent, or withdraws from a denomination, in order to maintain doctrinal purity. A True Church™ would never split over trivial issues.
5. In June 2008 humanist Paul Kurtz was stripped of his role as Chairman of the Center for Inquiry, which he founded, over a disagreement about the Center’s mission and values. This sort of thing just doesn’t happen in Christian organizations.
Causes of Disunity
1. Atheists have no uniform belief. There are different types of atheism. There’s weak atheism, strong atheism, new atheism, atheism plus, atheism 3.0, militant atheism. There are also different types of evolution. There’s cosmic evolution, stellar evolution, planetary evolution, abiogenesis, biological evolution, chemical evolution. There are different proposed mechanisms that drive biological evolution. There’s natural selection, punctuated equilibrium, gradualism, genetic drift. All True Christians™, however, are united by their belief in Jesus Christ and can agree on core theological issues.
2. Lack of leadership. Who is the Pope or the Dalai Lama of atheism? The church is one body united under its head, Jesus Christ (Eph 5:23; 31).
3. As Conservapedia says, “Atheists [are] quarrelsome, socially-challenged individuals.” Christian author Vox Day claims that "more than half of all atheists and agnostics don’t get married." Atheism is unappealing to women.
Atheists are by their own admission mostly geeks. PZ Myers said, “If we're going to expand our base . . . we need to appeal to more than just that geek and nerd subset of the population.” In short, atheists are social outcasts, misfits.
When misfits come together, there’s bound to be disunity. Conversely, all True Christians™ marry, and while we are a persecuted minority (Jn 15:18-20), we get along perfectly with one another. I can’t think of one socially awkward Christian.
Solution for Disunity
Jesus came to reconcile man to God (2 Cor 5:18). The moment you come to Jesus in faith, you will become one with all those who believe. If you’re an atheist, you will need to sever ties with your unbelieving friends (2 Cor 6:14) and family (Lk 14:26), of course, but it will be well worth it.

Dear Muslima
Stop whining, will you. Yes, yes, I know you had your genitals mutilated with a razor blade, and . . . yawn . . . don’t tell me yet again, I know you aren’t allowed to drive a car, and you can’t leave the house without a male relative, and your husband is allowed to beat you, and you’ll be stoned to death if you commit adultery. But stop whining, will you. Think of the suffering your poor American sisters have to put up with.
Only this week I heard of one, she calls herself Skep"chick", and do you know what happened to her? A man in a hotel elevator invited her back to his room for coffee. I am not exaggerating. He really did. He invited her back to his room for coffee. Of course she said no, and of course he didn’t lay a finger on her, but even so . . .
And you, Muslima, think you have misogyny to complain about! For goodness sake grow up, or at least grow a thicker skin.
Richard

According to Audacious Epigone, atheists are most likely to live alone.
This is not surprising. Atheists are less desirable sexual partners. I observed this once when I was living in Washington, DC, and I wandered by an atheist convention happening on the mall. The atheist were predominately male, and significantly uglier than average.
This is because ugly people become social outcasts, and social outcasts are more likely to be attracted to outcast movements like atheism, libertarianism, communism, etc.
Jay Fink writes:
If you are attractive and have a good social life you will generally not be interested in out of the mainstream groups or ideas. Why buck the status quo when it's working in your interests?
