Well ive been reading this forum from start to finish and i have to say that it brings up several issues within the bible, ethics and government. now let me start of by saying that im agnostic and haven't exactly found religion in my life. My dog tags say undecided and thats how i feel at the moment, so please i ask you not to judge me by that.

They let agnostics serve in the military?! What for?! What's the point of fighting for a country whose GOD you've rejected? What next? Gays in the military? Women? Democrats?

I'm at least glad to hear that they print your religious affiliation on your dog tags so that we Godly citizens know who to avoid.

As a history major when I'm in the states I've come across many ancient laws regarding the case of rape. Usually their where three ways o deal with it all the way up to around 1450's. Yes this does include the ancient world. The first way would be to marry the man accused of the crime. (have no doubt rape was considered a crime) if the man could not provide for wife and child he was beaten to death by the family of the female.

the second was the brother or father would accuse the man in public, calling out his shame. at that point the local priest/rabbi/or public leader would decree a punishment. usually branding on the forehead or hand which clearly marked.

the final way was to go to local authorities and call rape. the romans took great care and interest in these cases, seeing as how it disrupted their country. If the accused was found guilty he could be forced to mary the woman, pay her family or he was held captive until he worked off the debt.

Have you ever researched the laws about people claiming to be members of the U.S. Military who aren't? That's a Federal offense, boy.

Only a complete idiot wouldnt refuse to marry someone that sexually assaulted her your daugther deserves someone who dosent rape her seriously the only reason i made an account on this stupid thing was to reply to this and because a guy on facebook started a topic that has an account on this thing saying its ok to rape people who dress gothic which isnt right at all im a goth which is why i find it extremly offensive you can be goth and not worship satan and not be a slut im proof of that because despite the way i dress i still have morals and ethics and i am a virgin and dont do any kind of drugs but if the people on here post things like this and are serious or say stuff like that its just not right your all messed

You people are all messed its a girls choice whether she wants to marry a guy or not you people act like men are superior in everywaya and woman are just there for sex honestly no self respecting woman would put up with anything like that the definition of christian here in ontario isnt anything like what it is wherever the heck you people are like you people arnt just plain religious you are scary religious how do you even know that god and satan are real have they talked to you and even if god was real i doubt he would support men being superior by so much and woman to be just used for sex

The Bible clearly indicates that women are worth less than men. Women not only sell for less than men in Biblical times, but the Bible instructs women to submit to their superior male authority figures:
