Why do you need advice? Were you one of the rapists?

Please post the link to the news story on that. I'm sure it made the local news, right?

I think all of you have spent too much time listening to TV evangelical scam artists, under no circumstances does your daughter have to marry her rapist... ever

You guys are psychotic and would be considered by many to be a cult, I will pray for all of you.

Ah yes.. the typical response of one who can't deal with the Scriptures as they are laid out literally.

I suggest you compartmentalize Christianity. Follow the parts you like and gloss over the ones you don't.

It has worked beautifully for me. When you are ready, the UU will be waiting for you.

We've preached the relevant Bible passage over and over, but since you must have somehow missed it the first several dozen times, here goes:

Deut. 22:28-29: If a man find a damsel [that is] a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

This is an atrocity. To have such ill words towards those who have been wronged is wrong in it's own manner. If it is true that she has been violated in this way then this man should be punished. Marriage is not an act to be made between a rapist and a victim nor should it be advised. Help, guidance, and sympathy is what this girl needs. Along with advise of the alternatives to abortion such as adoption for the unborn child. She needs not to be called names such as "slut" or "whore" if she is the victim of a sick man.

Humans do not have right to condemn others to hell because there is no such human that is free of sin. You are not God and have no right to do his judging.

Ignorance in God's word is ignorance to God himself.

Fortunately the real world surpassed the Bible 100s of years ago when it comes to morals, and people have already judged against the embarrassing verses being quoted in this thread.

The rapist should be sent to prison and the woman should be allowed to abort. It's nobody else's business but hers.

Please read this. You are our guest. We will treat you like a jewel on the cushion of our hospitality. Or maybe not.

If you think Christians should not judge others, then this section is for you.

If you think the Bible forbids judging others, then you haven't read it. The Bible forbids superficial judgment based on appearances and it forbids hypocrisy, but it does not forbid judgment. On the contrary, the saved are commanded to pass judgment on others.

Lev 19:15 In righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

Jn 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

I Cor 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

I Cor 5:12-13 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

I Cor 6:2-3 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Liberal Christians frequently take Matthew 7:1 out of context by claiming that it is prohibition against judging others. The full context is Matthew 7:1-5, and it is a prohibition against hypocrisy.

                    Matthew 7
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

My job as a Pastor is to find folks who are lost and to try to get them saved. That job would be made a lot harder if I were unable to judge who is lost and in need of salvation.

Your honest assertion is that the Bible is obsolete? I suppose that's why over 1/4 of the world claims to follow it, at least, somewhat.

I suppose you're smarter than 1.5 or so billion people.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

If you think no person can know whether a person is going to Hell, then this section is for you.

Someone once said this to me, in all seriousness.
                              Quote:
Your not God! You can't send me to Hell just because you don't like that I'm gay!
There are so many things wrong with that statement that it is hard to know where to begin. I'm not the one sending you to Hell. I don't want you to go to Hell. I want you to be saved and go to Heaven.

It doesn't matter what I or any other person thinks about you being Gay. Before I read the Bible, I never cared what anyone else's sexual orientation was. It doesn't hurt me that they are gay, as far as I could tell. I know several people who are gay. They are all creative and hard working members of society. Some of them even raised adopted children, and they turned out just fine.

The fact of the matter is, God is the one who doesn't like that you are gay. He is the one Who declared homosexuality to be a sin, not me.

                              Quote:
Only God knows who is going to Heaven and who is going to Hell.
That is not true. God tells us how to know.

First of all, God tells us that EVERYONE is a sinner (Ecc 7:20, Jn 8:34, Rom 3:10, Rom 8:7-8, I Cor 2:14), nothing anyone does is good enough to please God (Is 64:6), and EVERYONE therefore deserves to go to Hell (Rom 3:23, Rom 6:23, Rev 20:15).

The only way to saved is to be called by God (Mt 22:14, Jn 6:44, Rm 9:11), to be convicted of your sins by the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38, Titus 3:5), and to be born again through Jesus Christ (John 3:3).

Since I have done all of that, I know for a fact that I am saved. If you haven't done all of that, then I know for a fact that if you were to die right now, you would go straight to Hell. You can tell me you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and that you are saved, but if you are continuing to live a life of sin, I will know that you are lying and you aren't really saved (1 John 3:4-12, James 2:14-26). My job as a Pastor is to convince you of the need to get right with Jesus.

To condemn another to hell is a sin whether you believe it to be or not. Whether you believe yourself to be saved is irrelevant. You as a human can help God with his work but cannot do his workings. You as a human are still sinful until you are led into his heavenly kingdom.
