Many of the "noobs" who come here saw a screenshot in some site like digg, 4chan or facebook and come in with preconceived notions about the intelligence of people here.

They think they they can just throw some "logic" and insults around to educate the "idiots" here. Then each and every time, they end up throwing a fit and yelling obscenities when they found out that those so-called "idiots" have stronger and more logical arguments.

They also use a strawman argument. In rational debate, this is a technique where you misrepresent the position of the opponent and then tear down the false argument. This makes it look like you debunked the opponent's argument, when in fact you did not.

This is also why, time and again, people come in here saying "you support rape!" or "you support rapists!" when even a tiny bit of effort would have revealed to them that we have no trouble with capital punishment for rapists. Does that sound tolerant of rape or rapists to you? No.

Hence, once the strawman fallacy has been pointed out, no further logical argument remains and we get into a classical cognitive dissonance situation where the self-appointed master of logic has to admit that a "hillbilly" won a logical discussion from him. His own turf. Or so he thought

If you think the Bible and logic are mutually exclusive, it is only because your view of the Bible has been corrupted by liberal interpretations by decadent Christians who think God works for them instead of the other way around.

In case you haven't noticed, the mechanics of the universe are extremely logical and consistent. Thus it makes sense that the Creator of such a thing is also logical and that His Word is also logical. It all adds up, gentlemen!

However, unlike you I turned myself around, got two degrees, had a successful career on the AMEX floor and am now a gentleman farmer. What do you do? Play video games in your parents basement?
