Read Revelation 22:18-19. The Bible contains EVERYTHING we need to know. God promised to preserve His word.

I don't think so. There were just Catholics and other heretics until John Calvin came along to set everyone straight.

I read this and thought D&D was some code word for something sexual that atheists and cathlickers doing “cathlick rites” inside their supposed confessional rooms. Color me surprised it’s some game of pretend. Sounds real homer. Real Christian folk have no time for this fairy prancing homer crap. Stop playing games and read your damn Bible.

Re: A Christian alternative to "Dungeons and Dragons"?

I tried to find the rules but that seems virtually impossible. As close as I could imagine was something like playing chess except that instead of moving a horse or a bishop one would throw some dice then jump around like a horse and see where the dice finished up and do that. So the prancing is completely irrelevant in that case. Or for a bishop I suppose you could get dressed up like a bishop and stand in the corner waving your arms around or something. Or not even get dressed up.

Actual roles, such as Blanche [Tennesee Williams]..or Noddy [Enid Blyton]..or Håkon Håkonsson & Skule Bårdsson [Henrik Ibsen]..do involve costumes, yes, and LEARNING LINES and the ability TO ACT with a moral lesson to be put across (or lack of, as the case may be) and even chess requires some thought. Imagine if someone sat there the "chessmaster" saying that next you'll move your bishop then you stand up in your robes and wave the hand around and maybe do some muttering then throw a couple of dice to see how many squares you'll move even if you read out some poetry and give a banjo rendition it's all window dressing. The actual game is throwing the dice; then that's your move. You might as well just throw a 5 then everyone else throws something and the highest number wins. "Oh," you may say, "there's more than one throw each!!"

I can't see how that makes any difference. Whether it's a single throw or five hundred throws the only difference is how much time you waste before the highest number wins. The "drama" is all in your head. No lines to learn. Roll the dice. Satan can use that and demonic possession follows on as you imagine jabbing with your imaginary sword or prancing on your imaginary horse or casting hexes with your imaginary bishop - a space opens up in your "consciousness" for those activities. But because they're not real a demon can step in, latch on and hex you for real. Jesus died to break the power of cancelled sins but in this atrocious "game" everyone who engages throws it all back in His face.

No-one who plays Dungeons & Dragons can possibly be a Christian.

Colossians 2:8-10 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power

Amen. We live in the real world populated by real creatures like dragons, giants, witches, unicorns, angels, and demons, not some stupid fantasy land.
I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
              Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

Their powers come from which ever god they believe in, this god can come from either gods in game, or god himself. Its their job to fight the bad guys, it doesnt matter if there is no payment or anything. If they see someone getting robbed, or see demons, its their obligation to help. No matter what. This class is basically a super christian class, if you make it one. Its not some satan spawn, its just a game about rolling some dice. It can be fun if you actually get into it, atleast try the game before you read something on a forum post and assume its some ungodly game about killing civilians or something hellish like that. It can be fun, find a group that will play it with you, find a DM, and play the game. The DM will walk you through how to play. Atleast try it. A paladin would be a good class for you, they are strong, but also have powers from g o d. It can be fun, dont judge a book by its cover.
Then you call God a liar. I can proof you from the Bible that the Bible is true. Your punishment in hell will be severe. I am saying this out of love.https://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Fals...ish_cabala.htm

For something to LITERALLY COME FROM GOD (as opposed to pretending to, or by a circuitous route of serendipity, or coming from some other source itself only pretending, or even not coming at all) it must take place IN REALITY and must also be engaged with the LITERAL WORLD GOD MADE. Nothing in a metaphorical world or taking place in a fairy tale or on a board game or even among demon possessed lunatics IN THE NUTHOUSE qualifies as coming from God at all. Didn't you say this was A GAME?

Most churches do not follow the whole Bible. We do, and we make no apologies about it.

Believe it or not, some "churches" allow (or even encourage):

                    - women to talk in church (1 Corinthians 14:34)

                    - mixed-race couples (Acts 17:26)

                    - queer marriages (Leviticus 18:22)

                    Etc. etc.

It's this complete and utter disregard of God's Word that has us in the situation we are in today.

                    Yours in Christ,

                    Z. Smyth
                    Amen Brother!

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

The fact of a "Christian alternative" alone confirms the demonic origin of this so-called game. There's this thing called Life – and in Christ we have it more abundantly. But there's another thing, the antithesis of life, experienced in dungeons and the commonplace of fleshly lifestyles although they don't know that:

                      Lamentations 3:53

They have cut off my life in the dungeon and cast a stone upon me.

Q1 Would I like to have a boulder dropped on my head?
                      A1 No.

Q2 Do I want to play dungeon games?
                      A2 No.

Q3 How fun is it in hell forever (there are no pass outs) dances notwithstanding?
A3 Hell is only pain, any dancing is demonic and guess what? They don't enjoy it either.
