Why did you write "countries"? -Just curious

I have lived in two of those countries... I'm sure you are offended if someone makes fun of your home town or house or "country" or something you love. Scandinavia isn't as uneducated or "Satan's pocket" like someone said on here.

I might not believe in what you guys do, but I do not think that makes me any dumber. -Sure according to your religion I might go to hell but I'm talking about this, here and now. I have made a decision not to spend my life on this earth hoping for a good life afterwards. I do pray and go to church and live the way I believe Jesus taught us but yea... I love my home.

I know my comment was rude and I'm sorry to admit but it was meant to be too. You don't think there is a reason for me to be a bit angry? -Im not talking about only moomins but all the rants about Europeans countries on this blog (Denmark, Sweden, Finland.....). I can not understand how people who have never visited any of the countries can say such horrible stuff about them? It feels like you all are stereotyping everything outside your home Satan's work...
There actually are some good people outside your home -even people who believe like you guys do. (Oh and with the good people I am not in any way at all talking about myself)

And yes I have read the books.

I've been to all three of the Scandinavian "countries" and they were all dumps.

It makes me SO sad to read the posts. CHRISTIANS from USA who have never been out of their own country make fun of others and talking about something they know nothing about.

You could not be more wrong about this. In fact, I am really offended by your rude words. I am not making fun of anything and I do know lot about this matter. I have read all of the Moomin books. Have you read them all?

Another matter is that while it is true that only True Christian™ in the world are Americans or born again Americans, we are not only ones who has seen the dangers of the Moomins for your soul. I only wrote this as a warning to good True Christian™ parents, some has taken things even bit further. Such as liberal false-Christian followers of Tapani Koivuniemi (in Finland, you know, land of the Moomin filth) has banned even the reading of Moomins as sinful among themselves.

So all in all, if your eyes are shut tight, don't blame people who still can see.

I also hope you guys will not put down my beliefs although they are different from yours. But I WANT to understand why you put down Finnish and Moomins? Like that towel (there was a photo of it couple pages ago) I do not understand what is wrong with hugging.. JUST HUGGING (There is NOTHING sexual on that towel or the characters... Why does it have to be so "dirty" to you guys? Why can't you look at it innocently? Shouldn't we all try to be innocent like little kids?

I do not have a favorite bible verse.

Hugging is a way of expressing feelings of intimacy which does not lead to reproduction. It is therefore a form of sodomy and is forbidden by the Bible.

I am just a person who has lived in Finland for several years just like I have in the US. I am not part of Baptist church but I have attended their Sunday school several times. I believe in God but not as strongly as you guys do. That is all I can say.
I guess it's no use to say a word on this web site because you guys will put down everything I say without even thinking about it. I just wish you guys were more understanding but I have a feeling we will never agree on anything at all.

You need to understand our apprehensions, we get a lot of loonies, trolls and the like here just to mock us, condemn us or just be damn rude.

We insist on a proper introduction so that we can get to know you first. You won't be 'put down' without good reason.

Sweetie I'm sorry to tell you put Finland has never killed Eskimos... Not like Americans slaved black people.... In Lapland there still are some "eskimos" but they have integrated into sociaty... They did not die... Finns are not as brutal as you think...

He does not know what he talks about. For example he said eskimos live in Finland... -I'm sorry to disappoint him and you but Finland is not full of eskimos.. Neither or Sweden or Norway... -Like I said everyone makes mistakes.

I have traveled everywhere from USA to China and Spain to Finland and Sweden. All I can say based on everything I have seen with my own two eyes is that Moomins are one of THE LEAST sexual or "bad" cartoon. Americans watch everything from Pokemon to Batman and they think they have the right to make fun of a cartoon which they have NEVER even seen? Please... (I'm not talking about the Japanese version -never seen that one sooo can't say anything at all about it) Moomins are like Winnie the Pooh is for you guys.. But then again I guess Pooh is next to Satan too for you guys! It's not like I accuse Pooh for having sexual feelings for Piglet or Christopher having a mental disorder... USE YOUR BRAIN!
Of course the original books are a bit more brutal than the cartoons on TV BUT Moomins are no where near like for example Grimm's fairy tales...

These comments... they made me ASHAMED of Americans... Please use your own brains and stop listening to this poor man's opinions... If he had visited Sweden or Finland or ever even visited Europe, he would know how wrong he is...... Everyone makes mistakes... but sometimes shutting mouth would be just better than spreading hatred. God bless ya'll!
