It makes me SO sad to read the posts. CHRISTIANS from USA who have never been out of their own country make fun of others and talking about something they know nothing about. I thought Christians are understanding people and they do not judge without knowing, am I right?
I have traveled everywhere from USA to China and Spain to Finland and Sweden. All I can say based on everything I have seen with my own two eyes is that Moomins are one of THE LEAST sexual or "bad" cartoon. Americans watch everything from Pokemon to Batman and they think they have the right to make fun of a cartoon which they have NEVER even seen? Please... (I'm not talking about the Japanese version -never seen that one sooo can't say anything at all about it) Moomins are like Winnie the Pooh is for you guys.. But then again I guess Pooh is next to Satan too for you guys! It's not like I accuse Pooh for having sexual feelings for Piglet or Christopher having a mental disorder... USE YOUR BRAIN!
Of course the original books are a bit more brutal than the cartoons on TV BUT Moomins are no where near like for example Grimm's fairy tales...

These comments... they made me ASHAMED of Americans... Please use your own brains and stop listening to this poor man's opinions... If he had visited Sweden or Finland or ever even visited Europe, he would know how wrong he is...... I think you should first read the Moomin books and the bible before writing about the stuff you have no knowledge about.

Pardon me, but this is the worst allegory interpretation of these bible verses that i have ever heard. We have a word for this: Eisegesis, interpretation where people stuff their own ideas into bible. Where there is in this bible passage description of hippos ?? I said pig/hippo. Matthew is very relevant as Jesus put the devil in the swine and made them drown themselves. Swine means pig.

Also, If we would check the backgrounds of members of congregations there wouldn't be much left, if after tenth generation there is no coming to the congregation..

I have been watching Moomins for my whole childhood and for me it has been the best children's program that there has ever been in Finnish TV.
It is not too scary and still it is interesting.
All the Power Buff Girl stuff is in my view stuff that makes children act and think badly. I think that those kind of programs are bad for children. You can not say that they are from Satan, but those programs could get pretty close.

Im gonna go through some of your main points and argue against those.

First off, the Moomins do celebrate Christmas.
This is likely evidence that I do not have any form of understanding
or acknowledgement.I am a homosexual.
He drank wine and yet we can't indulge in it.
We are not all saints. We sin everyday in a way some of us don't even know. But I know my sins, and it involves a lot of anal sex and beastiality.
