Re: Fun games for children (no violence)
Back in the orphanage, they had a game called Worker Bee that involved us seeing who could get our work done fastest, or repaint the china doll eyelashes the quickest. (The orphanage derived income from also being a doll hospital.)
The winner was crowned Queen Bee on Sunday, and got an orange.
The bigger girls always stole your orange, though, so it wasn't a very fun game.

I used to do Bible drills with my youth group.
I'd give them all a Bible verse and we'd see who could find it the fastest! We found out quickly who knew the Bible and who didn't. We laughed and laughed!sigpic

Red Rover was a communist game designed to infiltrate young people in daring to smash the wall of Capitalism and come over to the glory of the revolution.
Any child caught playing it should be sent to the deprogramming center at Landover ASAP!Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

I never heard of any of those games. Once I was taken by 'friends'' to a Catholic picnic and the BOYS were encouraged to play leapfrog with the other boys. I was too young to know why, but I realized that it was early indoctrination in SIN!Emeritus Professor of the Christ Jesus Chair of Theology at Landover Baptist University.

Re: Fun games for children (no violence)
Well, at my church, instead of "leapfag", our kids like to play Passion of the Christ.
First, they find a Jew from the neighborhood, and ask him if he'd like to play a game.
The church kids all dress up as Roman soldiers or as Christ-killing Jews. Together, as a team, they drag the real Jew down the street. The "Romans" flog him (don't worry, the whips are only rubber hoses -- no marks), and then the "Jews" yell "Crucify him! Crucify him!"
The "Romans" attach the dazed Jew to the cross with duct tape, and leave him there overnight.
I tell ya, the kids just love it. We've also gained three to seven new converts each year, as the Jews finally understand just what they put Jesus through . . . the exact same treatment to which horrible criminals like every captured thief at the time was subject!Bible boring? Nonsense!

Re: Fun games for children (no violence)
So many good suggestions....WITH proper parental or pastoral supervision.
I've noticed some of the Landover children playing Keepaway, where they pretend to keep an elected Unsaved Trash stand-in's "Salvation" hovering over their heads, as they merrily run back and forth, trying to catch it.

The chinks play dodgeball with the severed heads of Mormon missionaries. That's a true fact.

Re: Fun games for children (no violence)
When I was a boy, the only thing I found fun was manual labor. I guess work could be turned into a game, since society is all about giving young'uns a "childhood". Try dumping a few tons of cinder blocks into a pile, and force your kids to carry the blocks one at a time. They carry them 20 yards and create a new pile. I guarantee the children will sleep well at night after a game of Cinder Blocks!A baby is a human being, not a stem cell!

For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
