Please read The Bible, and see what it says for yourself. I'm pretty sure you can get the KJV in large print, with pictures, perhaps that will help you understand it better.

my friend (also aspie) has managed to use his autistic focus to focus on god and is the most devoted Christian I have ever known due to this

this shows that like all strengths it can be used for good or evil and sadly due to this aspies have gotten a bad name due to the fact that only those who do bad seem to get in the news because it makes a better story than the hundreds to thousands of aspies who use their abilities to bring good and teach the word of god

This is what I don't understand about you religious types. Why would you worship a god who goes out of his way to create people with unnecessary disadvantages?

My friend has a stammer and he said that some one onus said that god gave him his stammer so that he could learn a lesson. We talked about it a bit and concluded that perfect people must not need to learn any lessons because they are naturally better people.

So any disability one has means god thinks you are not as good a person as the one he created perfect: but one who needs to be taught a lesson that can only be learnt by having an unnecessary disability all their life.

Why would god create someone he knew was imperfect on purpose?

We had to conclude that the loving god people often talk about does not fit the facts. Either he is wantonly cruel and arbitrary or he does not have to power to protect people from disabilities.
