I am a 57 year old male with Aspergers Syndrome. First of all, in the introduction to this topic the OP has injected some of his own interpretations for the diagnostic criteria for Aspergers Syndrome.


Secondly, the vast majority of people with Aspergers Syndrome are highly intelligent and capable despite some social impairments.


I have never even hit another human being, have never been to jail. Am a military veteran with honorable discharge. I do not smoke, drink or curse. I have no tattoos or piercing. What I am is exactly the opposite of anything the posts in this forum seem to think a person with Aspergers is. Despite nearly ever doctor who has been interviewed after these shooting having stated that Aspergers Syndrome is not the reason these incidents happened and that the great majority of people with Aspergers are not at all violent, you persist in this forum to mischaracterize and demean people who deal with Aspergers Syndrome everyday.


And I am not an Aspergers anomaly. I represent the norm for people with Aspergers.


I would think people who represent yourselves as being followers of Jesus Christ to be a little more tolerant and understanding, and not to spread rumors and hateful gossip about other people the way you do in this forum. I think Jesus spoke about this gossiping about other human beings and about speaking untruths. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I would think people who represent yourselves as being followers of Jesus Christ to be a little more tolerant and understanding, and not to spread rumors and hateful gossip about other people the way you do in this forum. I would think that people who lecture us on what Jesus wants us to do would back up their assertions with direct quotations from Scripture.

First off I was planning on a reasonable explanation but after reading a few comments i decided... No you of course don't deserve a reasonable explanation

so let us has some fun while we are at it

1. If you believe that god punishes those with mental disorders or learning difficulties you must be as stupid as the devil (god loves all his children as long as they believe in him)
2. Have you lived one day with someone who does not have to bother with such unnecessaries that humans developed its great, do you dislike someone? well with something like aspergers you don't need a reason just hate away
3. I have aspergers and according to you I am the devil well lets us see I have helped many people with there problems I am trained in effective listening skills and worked with the people with physical difficulties to lead a normal life. right now I am working on developing medical devices such as hip implants to help elderly people live a normal life and develop those little devil machines that tell you that you are alive in hospitals.
4. So if you believe people like me are evil fine by you but I shall be where I am helping people live longer and improving lives while you continue to bad mouth people who have different brain chemistry

and for an added bonus google teratoma tumor and tell me why this exists in the bible I will delete this post and never bother anyone again

If it doesn't, there are two possible explanations: they either don't love Him enough for Him to cure them, or the Bible is full of horseshit and God doesn't love anyone because He doesn't exist. Asperger's syndrome (not assburgers) is a form of high functioning autism, not demonic possession. Neither is it a choice. It is something you are born with. While you may disagree with me, autism is likely caused by a slight error in DNA replication. This causes neural differences between "aspies"/autistics than that of neurotypicals. And I know that someone on this forum will post a hateful reply to my non-hateful comment, but I forgive you, as I think everyone's opinion and emotions matter as much as everyone else. Dear Miss Life. I appreciate that you are relatively polite in your post. Obviously, you have too little knowledge of the Bible to understand how these "diseases" are designed by God according to His promise and His warnings. Womankind sinned and chose the fruit (Genesis 3). Seduced by the woman, the first man also sinned. They had a choice. They chose sin. This is the sin that is inherent to these retarded people. It is caused by a choice, free choice of their foremothers and forefathers.

Exodus 20:5
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Here you can see how the punishment of God (as He promised) affects not only the original sinner but also his progeny. God informed us about it; it should not be a surprise to anyone! All these contagious diseases are caused by a free choice of sin and that makes the child in the womb a repulsive sinner that has to grow up and repent before it can be pleasing to Jesus.

As for the actual methodology of God's wrath, it may well be that DNA is involved (via microscopic demons) but the actual aetiology remains: SIN. The punishment is righteous but all this can he healed with simple prayer IF the person praying is Saved.

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Choosing the retarded lifestyle (either by the victim of its progenitors) need not be permanent.

Verily, the unclean spirits that cause retardation (perhaps via DNA but that is utterly irrelevant) can be cast out. It is a question of faith!

Superiority? Of course Jesus' chosen people are superior! We are going to Heaven and I dare say that is definitely superior to ending up in Hell! In fact, accepting Jesus in the correct manner is the road to perfection!

Obviously, all this conditional love is available for you, too. The alternative if you discard the call of Jesus is less enjoyable!

The Bible quite clearly states that though their affliction may be originally due to the actions of an ancestor (as Mr. White pointed out), not praying to be cured, or not having enough faith for God to answer their prayers, is their choice.

I assume you refer to the actual people who exhibit the Asperger lifestyle.

I never said they made a conscious choice. The significant issue here is the choice per se. The choice was sometimes made FOR THEM by thier great-great-etc-grandparents. Somewhere in the line there is the choice of sin and that is the choice that matters. It is passed down for generations and generations.

Deuteronomy 23:2
A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

These warnings are everywhere in the Bible. No reason to whine about them! Any trespass from God's commandments is a sin. When a sin is committed and the person fails to repent (properly) and abandons the choice of Salvation, the offpring suffer according to God's glorious promise. There is always a choice. In this case, these persons must see that the choice is a choice of sin and they can choose again and discard their evil ways. That is what we preach. The enduring LOVE of Jesus that can be attained through fear and obedience. That way God's Wrath can be harvested into Life Everlasting!
