    Good Books for Homeschooling Children

Of course, we use the Bible as our #1 source of information, but what other books can we teach our children to read while home schooling them?

I personally like this one. http://www.landoverbaptist.org/christianreader.html Any other ideas?

The Bob Jones curricula aren't bad. I use it for areas where I have no expertise when homeschooling my sons.
    II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

These three are my very favorite for our private study session in my den every Saturday afternoon. But I'm old and tired, so I limit our session to just one or two of the more troubled young boys in the park.

Praise Jesus for clever books that draw them near to me and God!

This is very important. I am looking through some of the books I gave my kids and grandchildren. Here's my first selection; I'll look for more.

This is a great book to give babies. It's safe and chewable. It is important that children should see the face of Jesus more than that of their mother and father. Jesus must be their first love.

Excellent choices. My teenage daughter will love That Confusing Tingle, and of course, preventing children from believing in that ludicrous "Santa Claus" is esential.

                  Some more good ones:
http://www.landoverbaptist.org/thelittlejew.htm For teaching children about those big-nosed Jesus killers.

http://www.landoverbaptist.org/sissyreader.html Make sure your little boys don't wet the bed, or become effeminate.

http://www.landoverbaptist.org/grandma.html This one's not really for home schooling, but it's great for helping kids cope with deaths in the family!

Re: Good Books for Homeschooling Children

For the somewhat older children, you may want them to read Mein Kampf (in English translation of course).

They should be old enough to understand it's not okay to wage war with America though, but for the rest had Adolf some interesting notions about the place of the "master race" (a.k.a. the True Christians). He was also right about the Jews of course, but since they killed millions of their own to get a permit to do whatever they want in their miserable own state, I'm not allowed to say that anymore.

                    Aloud.
John 20:27: Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
