That's so wonderful! I always love to see old family heirlooms passed down. My father passed his to my sister, but she threw it away because she said it caused too many bad memories. My grandparents carried that all the way from Sweden! If it was so horrible, she could of given it to one of us other kids.

That's such a shame that such a Godly instrument would be discarded in such a manner
If I do my duty as a father and teach my children as the Lord intended, hopefully I won't have to worry about which of my future sons I'll pass the rod down to.
Nonetheless, it will be a hard thing to let go of...

I always thought that you're just supposed to slap the hell out of them when they cry.

That's what my parents did, and I came out just fine.

Worked just fine for me too. Thanks for the whippin's Daddy! They made me the fine, loving True Christian gal I am today.

The Bible tells Christians to not only expect that, but to welcome it, as it proves that they're justified in beating their children (to death, if need be) to save them from Hell.

Better a quick, lovingly administered death while they still have Jesus fixed in their little hearts, than a long, slow agonizing spiral into the pits of hell, wouldn't you agree? The Bible does make allowances for slaying rebellious children!

Obviously those atheist punks have never spent 40 days and nights locked in the prayer closet with only a meager water ration and a piss bottle. Not to minimalize the effectiveness of severe beatings in and of themselves, I must say that when a brutal thrashing is augmented with prolonged sensory deprivation, the combination is most effective!

Very true! One time, I burned my father's favorite pie, and in addition to a beating, I also was locked in the prayer closet for as many hours as the temperature on the oven (I was 6 then). It was about 400 degrees. I never burned that pie or any pie, again.

I read them the KJVBible. Most babies drift off to the Love of Jesus. It that fails, it is often because they have demons trying to enter their rectums and a good shaking will often cause the demons to exit in feces and the child will fall to a sound long sleep.
