Despite coming to this argument after several pages of inept arguing on part of the "Christian alliance to not worshipping corpses despite our suppoused god dying via impalment/blood loss/suffocation" I;ve decided to wade in with my size nine shoe.

I listen to rock music of all persuasions (Heavy metal/emo/goth <notice the lowe case g> punk) and I'm an up standing member of society if i do say so my self.

I went to a church for many years as a child (Roman Catholic by my father) and decided after many years of reading Mathews Bible that it was ultimately a roflcopter situation (I am now a member of the FSM church or Ceiling cath as I believe these to be a much more credible source of worship than a dude stuck to a cross).

I do find it ironic that the first poster said something along the lines of child abuse is strife in goth familys, to be fair thats complete jingoism. Its well documented in that all most ALL and yes ALL religions practices child abuse, the next time you have one of your meetings where you preach an incredibly out dated text take a look around the room and you'll probably see a fair amount of Pedophiles.

and i am a goth
i respect my mothers beliefs though i am an athiest.
i am an athiest because i dont see christianity as a beliveable
i accept that jesus may well have been real. there is some evidence to prove he was a real man, but personally i think him as nothing more then a prophet and a martre. it doesnt make sence to me that he could be the son of a god.
